Can someone explain to me why my snail ate my betta. I came home and all that was left was half of it with no eyes or fins, being devoured by my snail. (i had a math meet tonight.)

The betta would have either already been dead or close to for the snail to start eating it

She could have been weak from the ich. :( Make sure she is dead before you bury/flush the body. I always have my dad go and "make sure" before we bury any fish.

With goldfish it is recommended to do 30% or more for a water change. 50% is best when you are overstocked.
You can test the water by buying a test kit. There are strip tests, liquid tests and testers you can keep in the tank at all times. The most accurate and cost efficient in the long run is the liquid test. A few of us here use liquid tests, myself included. They can either come in individual boxes http://www.apifishcare.com/Products/Product.aspx?ProductID=69 or a kit http://www.apifishcare.com/Products/Product.aspx?ProductID=67. You can also take a sample of your tank water in a glass container(plastic will mess with the results) to a pet shop and they will test it for free for you.

I've had abit of a change in my tanks, since I only have 1 goldy now I moved him back to the 20g (because the 20g is in the bedroom :) ) I decided to sell the common BN (keeping big daddy though) and I now have an albino longfin and 4 peppermint BN I also sold the black marble angelfish female (that I thought was a male) to someone looking for a female and I bought the most adorable tiny angelfish

Let me see... what is going on in Dia's tanks. xD
I've had no major changes, actually.
In the ten gallon, I've still got my big albino corycat, the two salt and pepper cories, the one juli cory, and my black and white guppy. The guppy is fat. xD And I've got an increasing algae problem. I think it's because this time of year, more sun goes through the dining room window and reaches the tank more. I've been having filter problems in there too.
In my five gallon, I've still got Vincent the sexy betta. xD His tail is getting into a bit better shape, but he still tears them up quite a bit. I've no sharp-edged plants or decorations. So I think he just does it... somehow.
And I've STILL got that little guppy from biology in a 2 gallon bowl. (tsk tsk I know) I'm debating moving him into the ten gallon, but that tank is pretty stocked... and Panda(the guppy) doesn't take well to new friends.

My poor new gold dojo loach has ich. :(
Water parameters are really good, so maybe he is just easily stressed. It shouldn't be too hard to clear up.
