Coal was startled at the sound of Snowy screaming, but as soon as he saw the ghostly figure hovering behind her, it was all he could do to not let out a girlish squeal of his own -- instead he clamped his jaws firmly shut and stared. He'd never seen anything quite like it, and he didn't think he ever would again. "Is... is that... Minty?" He stammered out. He hadn't known the mare well, but the apparition DID look like a paler form of the limp mare lying, lifeless, on the floor. Of course, if chubs WERE meant to be immortal, and one died before their time, it made sense that a ghost would appear in their place -- haunting, perhaps, or just finishing out the life that they were meant to lead. It was a rather romantic idea, really, one that he wanted to grasp, yet he was finding it quite hard with one right in front of him.
"You're not a half-bad singer, darling," Hana replied with a giggle, kissing him on the cheek. Sammy grabbed a hooffull of hay and split it between herself and Prism, she sat down in the hay and grinned goofily at her mother. Prism snuggled in beside her, looking protected and happy as she nibbled softly at the hay, while Sammy scarfed it down, then said sheepishly, blushing a little, "I forgot to eat breakfast." "Oh, Sammy, you silly girl," Hana sighed, then handed her an apple, which Sammy munched hungrily at. Fireworks giggled as he watched all of them eat, sucking down a few straws of hay on her own.
Isabelle continued to cry out, hoping that someone would come to help her. Little Aura began to squirm and tumbled off of her mother's side and onto the cold stone floor, and she let out an ear-splitting wail as the cold seeped into her body, she was still too young to stand or even push herself off of the dusty floor, and Isabelle felt her eyelids fluttering shut even though she was struggling so hard to help her little one.
