How do you turn a picture from landscape to portrait?
When you enter "NEW DRAWING / EDIT PICTURE / COLOR ME IN," there is a symbol that has two rectangles and arrows. Click the symbol, then click on the drawing to adjust it to however you like it.(or in this case, portrait) Hope this helps!

I probably sound stupid. But, how do you download the oekaki program?

My to-do list:
•Make reeds
•Play reeds
•Smash reeds that don't work
•Repeat as needed

No, that's unfortunately not possible.

You go here and install Java. After that, you go to "Oekaki" board you want and slick "New Drawing". It should work.
I'd like to thank all the mods and users that were active while answering the questions instead of me. I believe I'll be more online so I hope I can make it up for not being here for quite a long while.

If you exit out of a box (like the box with the three different types of lines, or the box with the different colors you've recently used) how do you get it back?

Look at the top of Oekaki, and go View > Palettes - check the box next to the palette you want to get back.
