Trade Rant Thread [v.20]

Got a trade and we sent back and fourth. I finally get it fair and then I get this message on the trade:

."eh my friend told me bec it a very rare and 2008 and 2010 ten dog it worth 2 rares and ur very rare u go up there now =/"

what? I-I have no idea what they mean or saying..

Whenever someone asks me "what do u want for this," just like that, I always want to go into their pets, add all of their pets that are NEFT and then some, and say "this is what i want."
But I never do.
I just cancel.
One day I will do that. Eventually. Maybe.

Just a rant in general, when I send a trade offer (a fair trade offer, if not overpay) with the message "Would you like to trade? If not please feel free to edit." I often get a simple cancel or a cancel with the message "Sorry no" or something to that effect. What I dont understand is why no one these days is willing to edit? Whats so wrong with editing? Do people just not want to take the time? With the pets on your wishlist feature I find it super easy to determine whether or not a trade is worth editing. Am I the only one that doesnt mind editing? To back this up I see a lot of people have in their trading rules "no one-ended trades" or something. I personally dont mind one-ended trades but I feel that a message is very helpful in those situations. I almost never send open ended trades, instead I with my trade offer I send a message stating that if they dont like the trade they should edit it to their liking. I guess what I dont understand and the point Im trying to make is why is one is willing to take the minute or two to edit a trade? Instead they see my offer and if they dont like it they simply cancel, often even without explanation. Anyway, thats my two cents. Would anyone care to offer an explanation as to why this is the case? Or perhaps let me know that Im not alone dealing with this? Haha.

I don't mind editing, unless of course they have no pets on my wishlist or if they or I don't have any to make a fair offer.

This is not what I meant by Trade down

Honestly, it seems like a lot of people think that when you say "Trade down", that you will just trade your main list pet for a handful of commons.

Unlike me I love editting. If you dont edit just put it in your dang trade rules: "I do not edit" THAT SIMPLE!!!

Even with that in trade rules, people still get one-sided trades/suggestions. I personally don't edit those because anything I have open is what people can offer on, so they can see for themselves what they can get from me. I'm also not good at editing, so I don't do it

I understand your frustations with it and all. it probably is annoying, but I cant really relate.
I would like to say that I have over 75 trades in my inbox. and I have very little time on cs. My life is pretty busy, and though I may be "online" I am not actually playing on cs for most of it. I dont have time to edit at all, unless I am seriously interested in it. which is rare.
so going through all those trades, plus new ones and having very little time doesnt give me the option to really edit back and forth. canceling or accepting is a lot faster and easier on me.
I get a lot of angry people telling me that I take too long. or that I dont edit, and its starting to get ridiculous.

Not saying your wrong, since I bet it is annoying. but I wanted to point out real reasons why it is happening. at least from me
