Dakota stopped howling, "Who will be Nikie's successor and who's Sontag, that is for their respective clan to decide." he barked over everyone, sitting at the front.

Watermint closed his eyes and sat up. "Their successors should be their kin. But, I'm a Dreamer and can't be an Alpha. Navy, is not ready to take Nikie's place. She's too young and not mature enough."

Just then Cole bounded to Watermint. "Where's my mother!?!?!?!"

Dakota looked at Watermint and then at cole "Cole, you need to be brave now ok. Your mum was attacked by a horrible creature, there is a slim chance of survival." he explained "but the creature is dead."
