The creature screeched, it couldn't swim so it fell to the bottom.

Sontag swam to Nikie's sinking body. He wrapped his paws around her and started trying to swim up. He looked down at Nikie. Her eyes were completely white and was bleeding heavily. Nikie don't be dead, please! he thought. But, she was already dead. He let go of her and started choking on the water, his lungs screaming for air. His eyes closed slowly as he drifted to the surface.

"Sontag!" dakota shouted.

Sontage drifted slowly to shore.

Rowan cried.

Dakota stood up, pulling Sontag to shore he turned to nifty "Can you gather the packs, we need to tell them that both leaders are dead." he explained.

Nifty nodded.

Watermint perked his ears as he padded to Sontag and Dakota. He laid his ears back. "Sontag?" he whimpered.

Watermint whimpered and laid beside Sontag. "Why SpiritPack, why have taken my brother's life?"
