Well, I might go snooping for some funny Sherlock-related images/gifs/videos/articles/whatever. Anyone heard of Geothebio? Some of her cartoons aren't what you'd call appropriate, but they are still extremely funny. Here's an example.

I looked up Geothebio just now. I was greeted with a crude GIF but after scrolling a bit I started laughing.
I've been talking with my youth leader who is studying British Literature, and so she and I often have long conversations about Sherlock and many other things. She is currently writing a report about Sherlock and John's relationship, and how people believe that they have are in love. She believes that John was Sherlock's companion, not lover, and that saying they are in an affair ruins the bond that Doyle portrayed.
But, the reason why Sherlockians want them to be infatuated is because,
A. many homosexuals today are being harassed,
and
B. The show has shown hints of sexual relations.
An argument can be made that the show is basically a fanfiction of Sherlock Holmes, and that the show is different that the short stories and so on.
I hope I expressed that all properly. I was just wondering what other people think about it. although I have already mentioned this before.

@ AStudyIn-Plantlife: We just had this debate, actually. Might be best not to start that debate again, it turned into an argument.
The general result of the debate was that most of us on this topic seem to prefer Sherlock&John friendship over romance, but there were a couple people who disagreed.

It is very obvious that John and Sherlock do not have a sexual relationship, but since there are a few hints (although not to Sherlock and John actually being in one), people (especially the shippers) have soaked it all up and put it towards their smut.
People will do it with anything, even brothers.
