You'll find that you can surprise yourself with what you really know." She smiled and pulled a small book out of her pocket. "A 'pocket dictionary'." She shrugged and held it out to Christi. "A book of words. Keep it. I don't need it anymore."

Christi took the book gingerly, as if it would blow up. She knew she would not change, just use quotes from the idctionary, because she was made as a recording machine experiment.

"It's a book, kid." She took a heavy breath. "Full of words. Not explosives. Promise." She nodded. "Have fun with it. I'm going to go find my rooftop. Remember... Don't follow." Truthfully, she had gotten attached to the odd girl, but just couldn't bring herself to stay near. Anyone who ever stood by her always died...

Christi flickered out of sight, the book seeming to float on air. "A pen is a worst weapon than a loyal sword...Alexander...Doomy?"

Keiy pushed off the tree branch and unfurled his wings quickly, catching the breeze and sweeping down, then up, then down again, rising up through the sky and breaking through the canopy of the trees. He climbed higher in the wide blue expanse, grinning wildly as the wind pushed him along his way. He spread his arms out, feeling the tug of the wind as he whizzed through the sky, not a care in the world. He glanced below him, the trees a mass of many greens stretching out like an ocea around him.
