((OMG creepiest character I've made yet. o.o Just let me know if I should delete her, kay?))
Emma Lockewald
Legal Name: Emily Lockewald
Called: Emmy by her friends and Emma by everyone else.
Age:17
Gender: Female
Orientation: Sapiosexual/Bisexual. To quote Urban Dictionary: "A form of sexual orientation characterized by a strong attraction to intelligence in others, often regardless of gender and/or conventional attractiveness. "
Appearance: Emma is seventeen, but looks old for her age. She's seen some things a teenager shouldn't have to deal with, and it shows on her face in premature lines and eyes which rarely laugh. She smiles only occasionally, but when she does her entire face is transformed, and she looks her age. She keeps her hair short, but no so short that she looks boyish. She habitually wears a thin film of makeup not because she thinks it makes her attractive, but because it hides dark circles, reddish eyes, and other signs of 'weakness.' She has a good figure (a trifle thin due to not eating as much as she should) with plenty of muscle. She tends to dress in formal clothes whenever in public. The only really unnatural part of her appearance is her eyes. Although her eyes are a natural silvery gray, she wears color contacts almost all the time. Green, blue, brown, gold, red, she changes them almost every day.
Height: 5'1"
Weight: 98 pounds
History: Emma was born in an unusual family. Her father wanted a child, but wasn't romantically inclined and had never found the right woman. So, he hired an egg donor and gestational mother to raise a child with his genetics. Emma's always been conflicted about this (she jokes that she was a 'virgin birth') but the love of her father replaced both parents for her in most ways.
She was raised in the Silicon Valley of California, and went to an excellent school for most of her youngest years, tagging along with her father to his work on the weekends. He works for a large medical research lab as a specialist in growing tissue artificially, and it would be fair to say that she picked up his gift and basic biology at an early age.
In High school, she had her first real crush. On a female, married, middle-aged physics teacher, which was embarrassing. She'd thought she was asexual all through middle school, due to her friends crushing on teen heart-throbs, which she thought were about as attractive as large pieces of meat that happened to be capable to walking. She was relieved, but depressed when her Physics teacher was transferred to another school, as obviously that relationship wasn't going to work... but she missed her so much.
Emma is predisposed to boredom, and never really did learn to respect authority. Due to her father spending most of his time in a lab some distance from here, she is mostly unsupervised. She runs a sort of drugs ring in her highschool, selling Ritalin for hard-core study groups. In the basement of her home, she's made explosives, hard drugs (never took them), and experimented on rats. What she's always really wanted, though, was someone who she could experiment on (not hurt! God no, you don't want to permanently damage someone. Why on earth would you). Sure, she's made deals before with alcoholics and desperate kids who wanted to cheat on a test - electric shocks in exchange for answer sheets, but not for long term projects.
Current situation: When Emmy saw the baby - clearly abandoned in a ditch - it was such a windfall. Someone that needed a home! Someone she could guide to the best of their abilities! She took it - a boy, she found - home, and has been caring for it ever since. The peculiar changes in the baby though, the increased growth and odd eyes have unnerved her, but she's not about to give her prize up because of some unusual qualities which will surely be solvable with science. Or maybe it's because of the additives in the baby's milk. Hey, who knows.
At a glance, personality: Emma is the teacher's pet, the dealer of contraband, the thoughtful and cruel experimenter, and the cold, bored, and far too smart classmate.
True personality: Emma is ferociously intelligent. She's the sort, when in a regular conversation, to notice something factually inaccurate about what you said, correct you politely, pull out her phone and research it and not give up until you've acknowledged the truth. She is extremely serious and takes all of her duties seriously. She never breaks a promise, but she will lie. She has no time for small talk, and can seem callous, harsh and rude, although most of the time she's stiffly polite. Emmy is also actually quite kind. She doesn't like seeing other people being controlled. She is very perceptive, and
gets people in a way which even most psychologists miss. However, she cannot tolerate stupidity. She has no compunction about breaking rules she considers wrong. Human experimentation is totally fine, if you're sure about what you're doing.
