Lily whimpered and let a few tears fall. A peacekeeper shoved her up and forward. She stood on stage. She couldn't believe this was happening and was in shock not noticing anything else.

Rue nodded as she looked to Cato. Then she looked to the Capitol person and it happened. She had been waiting for it but know that it happened she couldn't stay strong much longer.

Thresh tried to push past the Peacekeepers again but they held him restrained until the escort pulled the boy's name.

"Thresh ..." They let him go but he didn't move. He stood there in shock. They were going to make him kill his best friend. He felt Peacekeepers shoving him up on stage. His feet barely responded making him stumble a few times. He reached the stage and stared blankly towards the sky.

Cato frowned when they announced Rue's name. Anger rushed through him making him see red. He clenched his teeth and narrowed his eyes at the escort.

Lily stood on stage numb. How? Why? Wh- this couldn't be happening. It was her nightmare replayed into reality. She almost was to numb to notice anything else...except the calling of her best friend. No!!! They couldn't both be going! Now she was supposed to kill him? She was hoping maybe she had a small chance of winning and coming back home... Back to him. Now that was all gone.

Drake stood on stage as District 4's tribute with some girl he didn't even know.

Rue was forced on stage. She stood there feeling like crying but didn't. She stood there feeling as if the world was against her. She only knew it would get worse and Cato would join her.

Thresh's eyes widened and he clenched his teeth. No. They couldn't force him to kill his best friend. No.

Cato watched as the escort reached into the giant glass ball.

"Cato ..." The woman announced. He walked up to the stage frowning. Why couldn't they just let him die?

Lily out of her numbness looked to Thresh with sadness and pain in her eyes. Why? Why couldn't it at least be someone she didnt know. She hoped he would just come on stage quickly. Then this would be over quicker.

Rue frowned hearing his name. Why? Why send them back? They had already face the nightmare once! It still seemed to bad to be true. She watche him walk up on stage and sighed. This would be horrible.

Thresh walked up the stairs on his own frowning. Outside he kept his emotions sealed away but inside he was a wreck. A million questions buzzed through his mind but he couldn't sort one from the other

Cato scratched his knuckles wanting to punch something. Not yet. Later. He told himself. If only he could beat in that smug grin on the escort's face.

Lily stood there watching Thresh and the crowd. This had to be the worst day ever. She knew in a matter of moments though they would be lead to get on the train. Then it would begin.

Rue looked sadly at him. This was never what she wanted at all. This was the worst actually. She had to be paraded again through the Capitol.
