Well, I was sad at first, but it was actually a long time ago that they decided that Pluto shouldn't be a planet. They just didn't make it really official until now...

It really doesn't have all of the characteristics of a planet. It was also discussed how both Pluto and its moon are orbiting eachother, for example.

So yeah, its special and everything, but I agree that it should not be a planet now, because it really doesn't "fit in".

Mmm, same. The stars are so beautiful, especially when you're up high, and there's nothing in the way of your view, and you can just keep looking and looking forever :3 When I go there with my Dad to lok at the stars, it's like the whole world is the sky with just a tiny sliver of ground beneath your feet.

The methane moon, Titan It's awesome, was watching a programme about it a while ago XD

I have studied a lot of the moons, but I have to honestly say that Luna is my favorite. There's just something special about it, to me. (OTHER than it's our own. ^^)

I love Titan, it's so interesting :3 I have to say my favourite would have to be Pluto's 'moon', Charon. Though I'm not sure it can be called a moon any more, one because Pluto's no longer a planet and two apparently they're more like a double planet as they're both orbiting a center of gravity somewhere in between them.
I like it, I think, because Pluto seems so lonely out there on it's own, and it's nice that it has a friend XD

I don't think it's the Galaxy that never ends, it's the universe that keeps expanding and therefore could be said to never end, I suppose ;) I'm really interested in this stuff, I'm glad someone's made a topic for it.

Yup! The galaxy is 100,000 light years across (it takes light 100,000 years to get from one side to the other) and is 1000 light years thick. Depending on the geometry of the Universe, the Universe could go on forever... or when you reach the "edge" of it you disappear and reappear on the other side! So if you go fast enough in a straight line you'll get back to where your started. (Bit like a map of the world having edges but the world itself not.) which is bizarre!

I have an exam on friday in astrophysics, so fire questions and I will try and answer them along with everyone else. Because I have to know a lot of random things and I adore this subject so much! =)

I'm interested in the whole thing about what shap the universe is as well, if it's circular or doughnut- shaped or some multi- dimentional shape we can'd picture in our three- dimentional little minds O_o

My take on black holes is that they don't exactly...kill you, I guess you could say, I think they take you to another dimension =O! Because well black holes don't really smash anything, they just...suck things in xD

I"m not too sure about other dimensions, but I always wondering what Black Holes suck everything in to?
