With smoothing, I usually turn it to about 80% to get smooth lines :)

i want to post an image i drew that wasn't drawn on oekaki. how do i do that?
RP notes:
(parenthesis means that this is out of character chat. used when not role playing on a role play thread. and talking directly to another role-player. their username may be used when addressing them.)
"quotation marks means character is speaking out loud for all to hear."
-dashes around it means character is thinking to themselves, other characters shouldn't know what they thought, but can guess by body language-
if nothing is around it, it means that it's describing something the character is doing, or about to do.
:the colons mean a change in location or time skip. ie. later that day, or meanwhile:

To do this, you must post in 'Share your art' as the oekaki is only for the drawings you create on the programme, plus you cannot copy + paste ^^

I'm guessing you don't know how to use layers. (Please check the first page for the post on layers) Drawing on the first layer, is basicaly drawing on a layer you have coloured with white. So when you rub it out, you are rubbing away the white too.
What you can see is the transparent layer at the bottom.
Make a new layer, and when you rub away the black line, the background won't go with it. ^_^

How do you make things shiny? Such as a bubble, or ice etc.

You can try many different techniques, such as using the 'airbrush' to add a soft tone of light hitting the object. Or use white on the very edge of the shape, with one or two dots coming off it to show the light hitting past it. Shading can also help with this, and contrasting dark and light ^_^

Can you make straight lines? If so, how?

I am not here to tell you all of them.

I am going to tell you only one,

You see this box. Select the middle one for straight lines.
Select left to draw normally again :)
