Carmine looked at there hands and sighed "You'll never hurt me will you?" she asked not answering his question just yet.

Harry looked down at her, bewildered. "Carmine, I would never hurt you and I would never let anyone else hurt you either" he promised "I'd rather be punched in the jaw or stabbed in the chest than see you get hurt" he assured her, lifting her hands up so they were against his chest, feeling his heartbeat.

Carmine smiled slightly as she nodded "I have to say I feel the same" she said blushing as she felt his heartbeat through his shirt. "I've been hurt but you don't need to worry now" she muttered quietly as she looked at him.

He frowned "Oh Carmine, I had no idea" he murmured gently, pulling her in quietly for a soft hug "When did this happen?"

Carmine rested her head on his shoulder "Awhile ago but I haven't dated anyone since" she mummered quietly as she hugged him.

He nodded gently, understanding that it must be hard for her to learn to trust again. He knew that some scars never went away "It's okay, I'm always here for you" he reminded her, rubbing her back soothingly.

Carmine nodded "I know" she said kissing his cheek softly.

His mouth curved up in a light smile and he slowly pulled away "You still want to go?" he asked, knowing it was getting late and Carmine was probably tired.
