Missy nickered back and managed to get to her feet. She held her leg above the ground in pain. She wore a pained expression on her face.

Seana sniffed her leg then neighed for help, trying to get attention from the humans

If he were human, he would have blushed or smiled, but instead Ash just continued to nibble happily at her hair.

Chloe grinned and pet the stallion lovingly.

Stephanie heard a shreel whinny and raced into the pasture, running over to the mare in distress.

Where did you come from? She grew up on a farm with less than stellar conditions. The farm hands used to throw rocks and sticks at her to get her to gallop, and the groomers didn't do their jobs all to well. It was just short of abusive, really. When Jerem came to work there, he bought her, then brought her here when he came to start college.

Missy stood on three legs, wondering what to do. It hurt so bad.

Cassidy's eyes widened. She raced into the paddock, seeing her Missy in pain. "Oh no, Missy!" She said, feeling distressed.

Seana galloped to the girl and neighed, rearing up a bit. He looked at Missy, then back at the girl

"Missy!" Cassidy looked at Seana and then kept running to her mare. She looked at her leg and felt tears rise in her eyes. She looked into Missy's eyes. Missy looked back.

Missy suddenly remembered this girl, and everything before their trust had been shattered. How the girl had always cared for her, and how she had always cared for the girl. Missy went to take a step closer to Cassidy and her leg gave way beneath her. She stumbled to her knees.

Cassidy looked around. "Help! Someone call the vet!"

Ash nuzzled her, then heard a whinny, pricking his ears and bringing his head up. He turned in circles, some sort of panic within him as he heard the pained cry of a mare. He let out a loud neigh.
