"You wont remember this conversation by the time it's been done, if he does do it. but the sort of memories that tie you two together, his choice, by love, or family. it would make you want to be around him, rather tahn make you want to kill him and our kind." Marshal gave a sly grin, it was fun to toy with this girl.

"I wont force her to do anything!" Luka growled, "She's a human being for goddess sake! The most i'll do is give her good memories of our people, and that she is a different person. We can drop her off in a different location so she cant go home....."

[Intense Disaster]

She looked at him.-"Luka, right? I don't want to end up in a strange place. I don't want to not know where I am, or anyone around me."-She shook her head.-"That would be horrible."

[Daft Deception]

"which do you prefer, Death or a New Life and a second chance?"

She looked down.-"I don't know. But wouldn't you dropping me in a strange place almost be the same as death? It would be death of who I am."-She looked at Marshal.-"If he did what you said, would I still have my strength and such? I just wouldn't want to use it against the witches?"

*Lies* Luka thought.
"We might not drop you off in such a random place...im leaning towards keeping you within our sights. What is your name?" Marshal asked.
*He's trying to torture me....by trapping me with this girl.* Luka knew what was going on. Marshal was going to put Luka in charge of the girl so that he couldnt do anything but babysit her.

"Why is my name relevant? Can't you just change it. You could make me Vyxzin or Zoey or Courtney or Ashley or Mary."-She replied.-"But, if you must know my name is Lex."

"Names are hard to change, considering its usually one of the first things you hear when you are born....It's easier to keep names the same, but just change the sounds." Luka replied he looked at Marshal and decided changing the girls memories to include luka would be best for her and her well being. He walked towards her finally, "I promise, Lex, i wont hurt you."

"And, what about him?"-She indicated to Marshal.-"Will he hurt me?"

(I just realized something.........Max and Lex........they're really similar sounding. He just seems to get stuck with girls that have 'X's in their names......which is like a really rare letter for names.......I have no clue how to get the song in, though.)
