Anyone know how to increase the chances of having a male baby?
On my legacy my sims seem to only know how to have girls... My starter had two girls, Nekoda and Ashley. Then after my starter died Nekoda had a girl, Kitayla. &Then when Kitayla turned into a child Ashley had twin girls, Alyse and Alyssa. I'm now wanting a boy...

Below is my kid sim, Levi Swift. He is level 10 in writing and painting. He has written a heck of a lot of books with loyalties over 1,000 simloanes each book. His paintings are worth 500+ simloans. Lol, I don't see why I make him earn money when I just do motherlode all the time. xD

A little hint for "Cat". You don't have to take photo's of your PC screen to show us, you have a camera option in the sims 3. Just press C and all your photo's in-game will be stored in your Sims 3 folder under "Screenshots"

I have a question. Sometimes, when I want to move houses, I call on the phone to see what houses there are available. I jot down the names and proceed to entering Edit Town to be able to see the houses inside before I decide to go for a premade home or to build one myself, and I always notice that there are a bunch of extra, uninhabited houses that are not up for sale. Is there a way to make these houses available for my Sims to move into the normal way, via phone? Do I have to edit the lot type to something particular to make these empty houses available?

Do you have enough money to buy them?

Also, is this a pre-made EA world, or one created by a 3rd party? The houses could be there for the townies, and are programmed that way to keep progression going, but i'm not sure, having never encountered that problem xD.

you need to be able to afford them to be able to buy them, ^... i've never had a problem buyng a 3rd party hosue or a house i made, i've recently done that too,

I have over 500,000 in the game, and last I checked, there are no houses worth over that, so yes, I can afford them. I know that houses I cannot afford will not show up, otherwise I would have included that in my question. This is an EA made world, not 3rd party. I do not use 3rd party worlds because they mostly need mods or expansions I do not own, so I do not bother with them. Nothing against mods, I actually do like a few of them and have been interested to get them, but I haven't really gotten around to installing any. I had never had it happen before in any other of my games, but for some reason there are some uninhabited houses that are just not available when I try to buy houses. It could be a glitch, but I wanted to know if maybe I had to unlock them in some way as this is my first time playing in Riverview and I didn't know if it had some funky houses like that. I guess the townies thing could be the case too, except I had never had this happen in any other town so I don't see why they would be locked exclusively for townies in this particular world. Not impossible, just doesn't make sense to me as to why EA would do that. I have seen stranger things in this game, though, so I'll just assume that's the case and move on.

:lol: i was playing sims then my snob sim cheated on her boyfriend so he just starting flirting with my other girl sim of was the enemy of my snob sim!

Did she do that on her own or did you make her?
My sims never seem to cheat on each other.

Lucky you. My Sims are always cheating on each other if I am not paying attention to them. XD Somehow Samuel has not been caught yet, but Ruby has had the Cheater reputation since they got married thanks to having been in a Romantic Interest sort of relationship with another Sim when my Sim married her.

Hmm, I'm not sure then. Sorry I couldn't help Tam. After the doctors today I may have to pop on riverview and see what happens in my game.

And my female sims are ridiculous. An alien came over for her husbands b-day and the flirted with the alien while her husband blew out the candles xD. Everyone but the husband saw so I guess thats good. I made sure to send the alien home after that xD

I've been playing Sims 3 for a while now. I got it back on... May? March? I dunno. My mom bought it for me when it went on sale, and I've been playing it ever since.
I took a pause for a few months, then bounced right back as soon as I noticed Sims 3 Pets on sale.
I've been wanting that one for so long, and my mom promised to get it for me, so then I got addicted again. cx I made a nice couple, with one horse and one cat. Later on, they got married and adopted a puppy, too.
I used to play Sims 2, Sims 2 Pets, etc. a lot before, so hearing about Sims 3 got me really excited. I used to play it on my sister's computer, but only for a little bit.
I'm hoping to get Seasons for Christmas or some other time. It sounds really awesome, and I would just love to have a Sims Halloween and Christmas. Also the festivals. Eep. <3

To increase your chances of a boy, you need your already pregnant sim to eat 3 apples before she starts to show. So before the game announces she's pregnant she'll usually feel nauseous after you hear the woohoo baby jingle

And for girls, its 3 pieces of watermelon.

I haven't been able to play sims in weeks because the Ea logo always freezes when the game is starting. Any tips how to start my game?

Remove all your 3rd party mods, make sure your game is updated, if it still doesn't work after that, uninstall the game, then do a complete re-install

Would stuff bought with simbucks from the store or what ever they are called count as third party?

Lol when i first got the game I made my sim marry my favorite sim i made and they were both vampires and he was starving so i used the testingcheatsenabled true trying to fill up his food bad but by mistake i went down to the end and he ended up dying :L

So long story i guess.

So I'm on generation 5 of my first Sim family ever. (The Kings) So on generation 3, i got the "Oh My Ghost" opportunity and since I already moved out and they were elders... "Screw it, I'm killing them." and went to my founder's house and killed them both with old age. Well, they never stopped their marriage and i brought them to the science lab to have them reanimated as ghosts and all was fine, so i moved them out. ON GENERATION 5. I go through my Family Tree looking at how I started and stuff. And guess who broke up. MY FOUNDERS. I was shocked. I found my female ghost who had "Moved on" and added her to my family, made her break up with her boyfriend, and called my male founder over. They made up and got back together, and i aged them backwards to have ghost children. Then I left them at a house while generation 4 and 5 moved out into their old house. : D But really their break up hurt my heart.
