The numbers in the files Miss Vince had given him just weren't adding up. He was a little surprised someone so organized had let her math get so chaotic. There were equations all over the page, but what they were in reference to wasn't noted. And the few pages that did have lists of what had been spent, and on what, were in a random order that didn't seem to pertain to date. If he was really going to do this, he might need to brush up on some of his accounting skills. And it could be a while, too. When Miss Vince turned and looked out the window, Adisen's attention was pulled from the files under his nose. She seemed to be... well, he wasn't sure. But he was sure that whatever it was could probably be fixed with a few words from him. To some extent, anyways.
He looked back towards the nearest desk, and took a seat on top of it, returning his attention to the female in front of him. She seemed to have thought him to be insulting her. He supposed he could have been a little more delicate about it, but they were a mess. He inwardly chuckled, noting the way her tail moved of it's own accord as she spoke. No permanent workers. That would probably make things more difficult. He'd have to track down the papers pertaining to them, and make sure to add all accurate contact information. Mindlessly, his hand wandered to his left temple, and began to rub circles around it.
Her countenance soon changed, however, and she was back to being her cheerful self. She quipped and attempted to persuade the jobless man to work for her, though really there was little need. He'd have taken any job at this point, and it just so happened to be a bonus that he found his potential boss rather intriguing. He returned her smile with one of his own, "I'd be happy to take the job. But, once I get everything sorted out, you'd probably be better off just tending to the books yourself. So long as you're willing, I'd be happy to give you a lesson or two on how to keep your files organized and up to date." He got up from his spot on the desk, and walked over to her, smile still upon his lips, "Also, which desk is mine?"

She sighed with relief as he said he would. "Oh wonderful... thank you so very much." Her ears perked, and she listened to him carefully. She nodded to acknowledge him and show she understood, before patting the desk with the computer. This has accounting materials and electronic things." She glanced at the other desk, the one by the window. It had a neat drawer of tools and another with papers. It was mostly clean of any objects on its surface. She usually just brought her portable laptop. All the tech was getting smaller and smaller as it got more advanced, but she prefered it at a moderate size.
She stretched slightly, tail now so fast it looked about to snap off. "You can start now or tomorrow, whichever you prefer. I am not picky." She smiled, before sitting at her desk and opening a drawer. She handed him a small key, one the exact metallic match to the lock on the filing cabinet. Chewing on the inside of her cheek, she stood up and shut the drawer. "Figured you would need a spare..."
Calming herself down, Rora tilted her head, distracted by the window again. When she finall got her attention back to him, she grinned in a friendly manner before she slipped out of the office. Her tail was still waging quite rapidly. It was obvious she was excited. For once she would be able to keep things straight. What a joy that would be! She stifled a yawn, still cheery.

Adisen's gaze wandered to the files again, wondering what in the world he may have gotten himself into. And looking at the computer she said was for accounting, it might take a while. She really ought to invest in a new desktop, that thing looked ancient. Regardless, he would complete his work, in as timely a manner as he could. He'd also have to let Ralph know he had a job for now, and to send any possible jobs to Charles, who's mother needed the extra money. Turning his attention back to the female in front of him, Adisen snapped the file closed with a bit too much exuberance, deciding that he may as well get started today. If nothing else, he may be able to figure out just how complex the situation may pose.
Miss Vince sat down at her desk, and opened one of the drawers to look for something that Adisen must need for his job. While she did this, Adisen wandered over towards his new workspace, to familiarize himself with what would become a second home to him. He placed the files on the desk, and pulled out the chair to sit. Before he was able to sit, however, Miss Vince had found what she was looking for, and handed it to her new employee. He lifted his hand, and looked at the small key he now held. Be it for the store itself or the files, he wasn't sure. But, looking at it's metallic gleam, he guessed it was for the files. She smiled, but seemed to be worried over something, and promptly closed her drawer and stood up from her desk.
She wandered over to the window, looking out into the moderately active street. While she gazed about, Adisen sat back into the chair, letting it contour to his body. Normally his tail caused a bit of discomfort for him when he sat, and this chair was no exception. But he's manage; it was a little thing to bear in return for a job. He proceeded to go through the drawers of the desk, finding little but some pens and a notepad. On the desk itself was a small two tiered metal frame with an 'In' label on the bottom, and an 'Out' label on the top. Next the the metal frame was a wooden tube, with a ruler and a dull pencil. Determining that accounting had no need for pencils, Adisen replaced the pencil with the pens from one of the desk drawers. It was a bit bare, but it was perfect for an accountant. He chuckled, inwardly amused that he seemed to be becoming his boring father.
Attention pulling from his task, Adisen's gaze moved around the room, attempting to find his new boss. Startled, he realized she was no longer in the office with him. He gathered that, being the sole worker, she must have left to get something done. He debated with himself whether he should bother her or not, and decided he had best ask her a few things before continuing. His attention went back to the desk, and he quickly located the power buttons on both the monitor and hard-drive for the desktop, and clicked each on. Content, he pushed out his chair and got up. Manners automatically kicking in, he pushed his chair back into it's place, and began to walk towards the office door. The door opened easily, without a single squeak, and he looked around the open space. Unable to find her, he called out, "Miss Vince? I have a few questions for you, if that's alright."
Fluffin fluffin fluff. I'm such a lazy arse. I was avoiding all of my RPs yesterday. I'm a bad person. ;_;

Don't worry about it -3- Tired...
Aurora began to - out of habit - reorganize the backroom, which was full of a workbench and supplies, and sweep up the floor. It got cluttered with scraps easily, especially when she was smelting tools and gears. She smiled fondly at the thought, working quickly and efficiently. She kept letting her mind wander back to Adisen. He seemed good for the job, and he had accepted, of course. Though she couldn't help but think about how much he tried to keep his origins a secret. Like it wasn't a good thing. Like it was a shameful thing at the very least. She cleared her throat, tail drooping at the thought. Regardless of whether it was a good thing or not, nobody should be guilty or ashamed of their origins. It was wrong.
She rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly, before glancing at the room. There were shelves with labelled and cataloged boxes. Each label had a shelf number, the type of material inside it, and the cost they were sold at, in that order. The wall with the tools hanging on it was organized by type of tool and its purpose. There was a section for types of scewdrivers; for wrenches; for types of either manual, hand, or electric drills; for clamps and vices; and miscellaneous things such as hot glue guns nail/staple guns. She smiled fondly again, comforted by her organization and disturbed at the same time. She really was quite the obsessive compulsive, wasn't she?
She was brought out of her thoughts as she heard Adisen's voice. She took a moment to drink in the memory of where everything was again; the scroll saws were in the corner, the large saw blades were in a cabinet, and there were a few pairs of goggles and earmuffs used in mechanics hanging on wall pegs beside the cabinet. She was very meticulous about safety and didn't plan on chopping off any fingers anytime soon. She tapped a small gadget on the wall that dimmed the lights, set the broom against the wall, and exited the back storage room. She shut the door behind her, yawning softly. She then smiled cheerfully at Adisen. "Yes, what do you need?" she asked in a calm but sweet tone, her ears perking so she could listen properly, and even her tail raising and wagging slightly. Like any dog, she was an open book, and you could tell just about anything about her if you gave her so much as a glance. She realized it was already two hours since she had closed the shop; time flew. In a while, maybe an hour or so, she'd be eating dinner. Just the thought made her stomach growl with anticipation. She leaned against the wall, smiling at him, showing she was paying attention, even with how absentminded and daydreamy she was... She was such a imaginative girl.

Adisen wandered about the shop, calling out Miss Vince's name every now and again. The place may be organized, but it was easy for him to get distracted and lost. Finally, there was the sound of an opening door, and then the soft footfalls of the mechanic approaching. She appeared with a smile on her face, her tail wagging slightly. She seemed attentive when she asked him what it was he needed, though she leaned back against a nearby wall. One of the few walls, Adisen noted, that was clean of any mechanical tool or shelf. Looking past the young woman before him, he saw the door he had heard open, as she had been leaving. There weren't a whole lot of doors around here; mainly just the front door, the office door, and this one. With nothing to go on but general knowledge of stores, Adisen came to the conclusion that this must be the store room, and she must have been tending to her stock.
The thought made his curious, knowing she claimed, and seemed to be, an organization prodigy. Those thoughts aside, he focused on the task at hand. He needed to find out some basic information for the following days, regarding his hours and ay and such. With a polite smile, he requested the information from the female mechanic, doing his best not to sound greedy or desperate. Though, in fact, he was in desperate need of money. It had been over a month since his last job, and he was only surviving on money from his mother. He hated to borrow it, but he had had no choice. He'd taken to eating the food of the poor, potatoes and soup. What he wouldn't give for a real meal, maybe even with a steak and mashed potatoes. He nearly salivated at the thought.

Adisen so far seemed like a fascinating person; one Aurora hoped to get to know much better soon. He was so gentlemen-like, it was almost uncomfortable due to her laid-back and casual attitude, which lacked many levels of etiquette. She tried not to focus on this, though she was a people pleaser and naturally wanted to make everyone happy. She eyed him for a moment, smiling in a friendly way. He seemed rather silent and thoughtful at the moment, much like herself. Rora had her bouts of both hyperactivity and quiet silence. At the moment, she was surprised at her own lack of words. But she was more so surprised he hadn't asked her anything as of now. Being the organized person she was, she was patient, but also very eager. Now was no exception, and her two sides of personality were battling within her head and heart. It was almost aggravating. Laid-back, or energetic?
She finally cleared her throat, forcing the both of them out of each one's own thoughts. Mostly to get herself back in the realm of reality, but also to alert him she was waiting. "You were going to ask me something?" she prodded, insisting on this heavy, obvious hint. She wanted to make sure he got what he wanted out before he forgot it. She was like that sometimes, and hated forgetting what she wanted to say in the midst of all other thoughts.

Adisen's thoughts of delicious foods was put on hold as his new employer caught his attention with a small clearing of her throat, followed by a question he shouldn't have forced her to even ask. His musing had led him to forget his purpose, and as a result she was left to bring him back to his feet. With a bashful smile, and a rub of the back of his head, Adisen gave his apologies, "I seem to have drifted off for a bit there, sorry." He chuckled then, relatively sure that she would not hold it against him. Assembling his thoughts, he tried to determine the best way to approach the subjects he needed to speak with Miss Vince about. Thought certainly she was an organized lady, she had forgotten perhaps the most important bits of information for him. He didn't want to insult her, but he knew full well by his recent, though few, encounters with her that he would need to be frank.
His hand fell from behind his head, and his expression changed to one that a business man would wear; serious and determined. With little practice in such areas, the young hybrid began to speak, doing the best he could to get his point across without causing harm, "Miss Vince, it's come to my attention that we have yet to discuss the business agreement we seem to have made. Though indeed it has been made clear what my position will entail we haven't covered my work schedule. I haven't a clue when you'd like me to come in, at what times, and for how long. And along with that, if I am to be working without you here, I'll certainly need a key to open or lock up, depending upon the hour you'll have me work." Adisen's speech had gotten faster the farther into his point he had gotten, as he grew more and more nervous, knowing where his monologue would be leading him. There was little left for him to say regarding hours, and all that was left was wages; a subject that thoroughly embarrassed him. He was desperate for money, but he by no means wanted his new boss to think him greedy and pushy, which therefore caused him to doubt himself over whether to ask or not. Unintentionally, Adisen began to fidget with the bracer on his left arm and look everywhere but at Miss Vince's face, "And, well, Miss Vince," his fidgeting began to spread to a small shake in his legs, "I had hoped to discuss my wages." Relieved that he had managed to get out what he needed to, he relaxed enough that the fidgeting in his legs stopped. His attention turned to Miss Vince's face, and his eyes greatly resembled those of a begging puppy.
I keep forgetting he's got an eye patch. xD; Maybe he'll get it in an accident in the workshop later on instead. Bahaha

She listened, ears perked to show that he had her full attention, her tail rising as further involuntary proof. "Well why didn't you just say so?" she chirped, stifling a little chuckle, before she indicated the key pads. "The office, storage room, and garage door are locked with key codes. Each person has their own unique one, so of course anyone who has access chooses their own password. But in order for you to do that, I have to enter mine and then press 'grant access' so once you've figured out your password, tell me." She cleared her throat, dusting sawdust off of her trousers. "Your work schedule is entirely up to you, but the minimum amount of days a week is two. I'll give you the times that I'm here, but as long as it isn't dark outside, you can come when we're not open."
She paused, taking a moment to remember everything. Then, she continued, "The minimum is two days a week for two hours each." She blinked, smiling. "You simply have to organize the numbers, the expenses themselves I pay for." She fiddled with the hem of her shirt, before her ears flopped and she relaxed slightly. Tugging on her ponytail, she stepped forward, smiling. "What would you consider fair and honest pay?" she asked him. "The minimum wage is barely enough to buy bread in this society, so don't you dare ask for that." She tilted her head innocently, thoughtful.
