"Da**!," Brigan said, and then glowered as Ally, Venom, and Harlie left. He grabbed Fi's wrist. "C'mon Fey," he said, and started to sprint, dragging Felicity behind him.
"Let's go to the back up place. Log cabin, a few blocks away," Felicity breathed out, running hard behind Brigan.
Flashing lights and sirens were behind them, and a cop was trying frantically to start his car. Fi giggled like a maniac and held up the wires she'd snipped. "Ah! Things you can do when no one is paying attention," she said sweetly.
Brigan groaned, running faster, Fi falling behind. "Faster, Fey!" he called, and Felicity ran faster. Fey was Brigan's special nickname for her. No one called her Fey but Brigan. She wouldn't let anyone but Brigan call her Fey. Even though she had a new family, a gang, it would take a long time for her to trust anyone but Brigan. A very, very, very long time.
Finally, Brigan's hand clamped firmly around Fi's wrist, they arrived at the cabin. They'd lost the fuzz two blocks back, and they were panting and completely out of breath. They dragged themselves up to the front door, and pounded on it. "We're here! It's Fi and Bri!" she called out, so out of breath and her accent almost made her words incomprehensible.
Danno walked down the street, he'd put the BlackBerry in his grey pants pocket and now had his hands in the front pocket of his purple hoodie. He looked around for anyone wearing relatively the same outfit as him, maybe a pentagram. He needed to find his gang.
