They were a little concerned about my lack of yard, but I have TONS of parks nearby, and a couple with fences at that, so he should be able to buzz around offleash. My school schedule was another thing that came up, but since I've got a super flexible college schedule he won't be alone for more than 5 or so hours.

I do think I'll probably get him, but I don't want to say anything definite until I know 100% for sure :]

Saff is displeased and confused at these changes. I dunno who these could possibly be for...

Pictured:
3 leashes; 1ft, 2ft, 6ft
3 iterations of GentleLeader/Halti
1 10ft tieout, I use it for outdoor recall
Stuffingless skunk is on my makeshift flirt pole
2 kongs, 4 tennis balls (2 squeak!), rope tug
Various treats
Food Bowl
Tape marks out where crate will go

Not Pictured:
15lbs of EVO- decided on that for now
Knucklebones (in freezer for extended lifespan)
Various bakery treats (in freezer for extended lifespan)

On the Way:
Collar
Crate
Clicker
Coat
Lunge whip (for actual flirt pole)

EDIT!

Must Order:
Body harness?
Custom dog coat specifically for Doberman
Doggy backpack
Custom collar
Books on training?

Hurray, you got him!

If you decide to get a custom harness/collar I highly recommend Ella's Leads. They last a life time and I've been thinking of ordering from them. I have friends that have and absolutely ADORE their stuff. <3
Honey, it's in the stars
And you're my everything from here to Mars
And every word I say I truly mean
Dear darling, I hope I'm being clear
'Cause there's no one like you on earth
That can be my universe

Actually!

I may have already been eyeing Ella's Lead stuff, and based a collar off of their designs >_> Lizard Leather is a member of my dober forum and has also been giving me quotes, and Dakonic mentioned another person who also does really good collars. So we will see, once he gets here!

Congratulations! I grew up with dobermans. They are so regal and intelligent, and such a joy.
This reminds me of how I got my pomeranian Darwin. I was basically all set to buy a pomeranian or an Irish wolfhound from 2 breeders I'm a fan of, BUT then Darwin just had to show up at the local shelter when I was signing up to volunteer.
I hope all continues to go well, and he settles in perfectly. Take lots of pics for everyone!
