Nairebis walked back into the center of the town. It had been a while since she's been there, and still had no clue what was going on. It wasn't the same as when she left, but it didn't look too different. She let out a frustrated sigh. She had no clue what to do! She got homesick and decided to vist, but she didn't see any of her friends. She decided to scamper around town to try to find her friends.

chapter ii: Star Gazing
There's a month, where planets are particularly close together. Stars in the sky would shine brighter and not one was without a partner. During this month Faerres would gather every night on a big plain and watch the stars. It was a month to quietly enjoy the brighter stars and enjoy the company of one another, it was said that this month was the month of love.

A soft sigh slipped from his lips as a cool wind breezed over his pelt, sending pleasurable tingling sensations down his spine. The world was dark -it was always dark for him, but this month, the month of love has the darkest nights of all. He sat down slowly, his tail wrapped wistfully around his paws as he listened to the soft whispers of lovers and couples stargazing.

Stars.

What were stars? He, who was born into darkness never knew what it meant to 'see'. 'Seeing' was the blackness he was so used to, there's no such word in his dictionary. Yet, he wondered sometimes. What they really meant when someone 'saw' something. What do the couples here gathered tonight to gaze at the stars 'see'? When asked, they described it as the brightest source of light, like a twinkle of hope in the darkness.

However, Rauga never knew light. Darkness WAS his light.

What was shiny? What twinkles? Those that can't be felt or scented came as a puzzlement to him and the month of love was always the most confusing month of all.

A soft sigh slipped from his lips.

Ahh...the month of love, of stargazing, was it?
Honestly. She didn't have any interest in love yet, and much preferred messing with her new helicopter device to going out and staring at the sky for no reasons at all. However she had missed last year's stargazing just like this, and perhaps, a change will be good to her schedule. Just maybe.

Citrin hopped out of her home and over to the hill where she could see the dark silhouettes of stargazing couples, their eyes glittering with the reflection of the twinkling stars. Citrin smiled to herself; though she didn't show it, deep inside she actually had a bit of a star-loving part in her, literally.

She spotted one faerre though, who was alone and didn't look that happy. Why wasn't he? It's the month of love. Is there...something wrong with him?
Immediately taking interest Citrin brustled pass the many couples who just nodded at her kindly and made space when she passed by. She perked up her ears and scooched next to the faerre, who she now realized was a male. She wondered if she had seen him before?
"Hi? Why do you look so wistful? And why are you alo..." she realized it might be rude and a bit of a personal matter. Maybe he broke up, or something like that- How stupid of her, to talk to a stranger about such matters. "Sorry." she said sheepishly, and sat down next to him anyway.

Retho knew it was the month of love but.. She glance at couples as they walked past. She could feel they was pitying her. She paused at a couple and said, " dont pity me okay! " She ran off towards the hill, she sat on a soft patch of grass and looked at the stars sliently.

She wanted to have a partner this month, but no one would want to sit with her at all.. She knew she had to accept this, but she could hardly do that ar all. Retho look at the bright shinning star, seems like even stars have a partner.. Retho stood up and felt the wind rustle her fur softly and gently.

Retho wondered where Citrin was, she could be with some awesome handsome guy as she had awesome looks. Retho smiled softly as she thought about her best friend who was Citrin. Retho sat down and curled her tail by her side, she closed her eyes and felt very peaceful. She thought about what happened this year, there was sadness and happiness.

She knew that today will be her sadest day of her life, because she was all alone..

Look! That star see it? It's so bright! Despite knowing he'll find nothing the Faerre still tilted his head towards the direction of the voice, his ears attracted to the soft whispered conversation of the nearest couple.
Don't those stars create an outline that look like a big fish?
Oh! I see it!
Wow! The stars are beautiful tonight~
A small smile reached his face as he turned to face the front again. All the things the others say, they were amusing and interesting to someone who can only sense and scent. Give him an object and he'll be able to describe every minute detail on it, he'll be able to scent the difference between two palm trees but ask him to describe how 'soft' or 'fur' looked like, that was the impossible.

He didn't envy. For being born without meant he'll never understand what he missed. In a way, he felt fortunate that he was not like others who were born with sight then was stolen from. He never felt jealous, never felt longing for the thing he never knew. But, he was curious. Very curious of all these things, others talk about.

His ears flicked unconsciously, reacting to a soft noise, his paws picking up the soft vibrations through the ground and the Faerre turned to meet the newcomer naturally. His motions were practiced, smooth and natural one would almost be fooled that he could see if it weren't for the glassy film over his faded eyes that betrayed his secret.

"Hello." he greeted with a small smile, inwardly glad that someone came to greet him.

The scent was feminine -it was hard to identify gender through scent alone for others, but being one who was accustomed to acknowledging presences through scent and feelings, Rauga was an expert. Oil. The scent of metal that clung to fur. Rauga smiled as he pretended not to notice her slip, turning his head towards the sky again.

"Such a beautiful night isn't it, Citrin?"

Oh- so he wasn't affronted at all. She felt inwardly glad and decided to move on, to whatever he wanted to say, or what she wanted to say.

She waited, eavesdropping slightly on the possibly overheard, loud whispers of the faerres all around her. Stars create a lot more creative thoughts then she had realized; some connected them in their minds to see pictures they wanted to see. Some simply took in the light and the entire dotted sky as whole. Either way, it was a beautiful night.

"Such a beautiful night isn't it, Citrin?"

She was slightly startled because she had been falling into another stream of thoughts she couldn't control. Then she nodded eagerly.
"Oh, yes, it's beautiful. So many stars! And so bright, almost like there are a hundred lamps somewhere up there-"
When she turned her head to see him properly for the first time, she was...confused. He was unfocused, not looking at anything in particular...also, he had realized Citrin was here without even turning to have a look at her. Realization came to her in a wave of slight surprise, but not shock.
"Oh, oh, I'm sorry!" she stammered, realizing he probably couldn't visualize properly with her words. "...yes, it's a beautiful night. It makes everyone become so happy and hopeful. The stars are kind of like...snowflakes falling all over you? There's- a lot of them, everywhere, and even though they're way up there they're really friendly and magical, not intimidating."
She struggled to find more words. It was like trying to explain music to a deaf faerre, or the thrill of singing to somebody who couldn't speak. She didn't really feel sorry or pitiful or anything- she just felt suffocated with the fact it was nearly impossible to explain a whole 'sense' to somebody.

Rauga smiled softly when his animated companion spluttered to a halt, her excited voice dying out quickly like a lit candle being blown out.

So she noticed. He waited for a gasp of horror, the quickly muttered apology then the abrupt departure, however...

"...yes, it's a beautiful night. It makes everyone become so happy and hopeful. The stars are kind of like...snowflakes falling all over you? There's- a lot of them, everywhere, and even though they're way up there they're really friendly and magical, not intimidating."

Rauga blinked -it was unnecessary but it was a habit he couldn't get rid of- as he turned to the female in surprise. For a moment he was at a loss of words. He'd expected dismissal like the many other times he met with strangers, only rarely would one stay to understand. It was too rare. A chuckle escaped from him, his body shaking from growing amusement before laughter flowed out from him.

"Sorry." he chuckled softly when he got his laughter under control. "It's not common for others to explain their 'sights' to me."

Rauga smiled, his eyes closing as another breeze ruffled his fur. "You're different."

Glassy eyes opened and turned towards the direction of Citrin as the orange Faerre gave a small smile. "Thank you."

Ugh. So much dirt, so many dirty Faerre's.
Cylan thought, quite happy Barry had given him a bag with a clean towel and blanket inside, not to mention some crackers.

The Faerre weaved in and out of couples, before finding an empty spot next to a Faerre whom was female and had no partner. Opening the bag, he placed the meticulously clean, thick towel on the ground. After quick inspection, he sat on it and gazed upward at the stars. Digging in the pack, he carefully brought out the cracker box, fishing inside and offering it to the female. Cylan didn't entirely trust crackers, and if they were poisoned, he wouldn't be the first to know. After all, the female looked pretty clean, with no dirt on her fur.

"Would you like a cracker?"

Retho glance at Cylan as he placed a clean towel on the ground, she shook her head and smiled not that surprised, " I would love to have one.. " she said. It was a little awkward as she liked him a little, she took one and nibbled on it quietly. She ate finish and said softly, " Thanks. " She turned back to the nightsky and smiled softly. " The nightsky is beautiful today right? " Retho asked not really thinking that much. Retho closed her eyes feeling the wind blowing against her, ruffling her fur. " A wonderful strong cooling wind too. " Retho opened her eyes and turned to Cylan, " Anyway, what are you doing on the hill here? Shouldn't you be out with your partner? I am here because I don't have a partner at all.. " She said, her voice turning softer and softer as she ended her sentence. Retho turned back and faced the nightsky, she couldn't look at Cylan eyes as they talked! She would be too shy to talk at all..
