This is me.
I may not look like much. After all, I'm only a girl, right? Wrong.
I am a spy.
Well, not really. I'm still training, still trying to get to the top. When I'm eighteen I'll be fully trained. But for now, I'm in my second year at Firewich Academy (Which may say its for Princesses, but is actually for spies). Its not like normal boarding schools.
We learn 20 different languages; we learn about how to act in every continent; we learn how to swim, ride and drive; we learn how to fight. We learn how to carry out operations and missions; we learn how to hack into the governments databases for information; we learn about HE&M (Health, Emergencies & Medications); we learn how to survive in barren conditions.
Its pretty cool.
Today is the first day after the summer holidays. I saw the mansion our school is in long before Ann, my driver. You can't really miss an eight-story house about a mile wide, can you? Its full of secret passages and... interesting stuff.
I was the first back out of my roommates, as usual. There's four of us, an we've been best friends since year seven (i.e: last year). I got unpacked and lay my old blanket on my usual bed, the one under the window. Its the best one, I think. I sat back, fiddling with my shell necklace. Of course, its much more then that, which I will touch upon later.

LEAH!!! Flair yells, bursting through the door. I jump up and let myself be trapped in her embrace. I missed you, she tells me, fiddling with her crystal and waving her tail about.
I missed you too, I tell her, and turn back to the door as someone walks through.
Hey Christie!

Oh, hey Leah! she says, sounding preoccupied as always. Out of all of us, she's the dreamer, the brainbox, the quiet one. A perfect pavement artist- but not as invisible as me. We high five, as the last of our 'gang' races through the door and launches herself on to her bed.
Chip! Flair greets. Chip looks up and grins.

Hi Flair! she yells, spreading her arms wide. Chip is the loud one, the funny one, the strong one. And Flair is just a tomboy.
As my friends set to putting their stuff away, I got out the journal that had been issued for this term. My Mother thought it would be a great idea. And so this is what I have just written.
No, to explain about the shell necklace; it doubles as many things. A communicator. An escape gadget. A tracker. A camera. A bug. The first thing you do here at Firewich Academy is make one of these. You can modify anything from a bracelet to a hairclip to a sticker to a piece of your fur! (I'm not kidding about the fur either. Myst Johnson's done this; it bleached her fur pale blue in several spots.) I have my shell necklace; Flair has her crystal talisman. Chip and Christie have their hairclips.
Suddenly we hear a voice through the speakers.
All students present. Term One has begun. Welcome back everyone, and don't miss the feast!
