Bramblestrike smiled and took a bite, savoring the warm flavor. He nudged the mouse gently towards silverwater.

"Sure!" Boneclaw agreed, leading the way out of camp.
"Are your injuries okay?" Splashingriver asked Echostar, concern for her overwhelming him. When did I feel this? he thought.

Echostar nodded, "Just a scratch and a chipped ear. Nothing too bad" she said lightly, her heart pounding. He totally cared! She flicked her ear. Bad Echostar. No girl. No. she said to herself again.

[Quitting•]

Boneclaw followed Shadow, catching a whiff of the prey scent.
Silverwater looked up in thanks then took a hungry bite out of the mouse. After she swallowed, she pushed it towards Bramblestrike.
Splashingriver nodded, glad she was okay. "Would you like to go on a walk with me?" He asked.

[dr. pugs]

Echostar's heart rate quickened further. Say no! she told herself. "Sure I would." she told him, her voice smooth as honey. She let her fur bristle a moment. It was time to face the truth. She really did like Splashingriver. She really did.

[Quitting•]

"Are you okay?" He asked, noticing her bristling fur.

Shadow killed the prey quickly, jumping on it and biting it's neck.

Echostar padded on in silence for a moment and finally responded, "I'm fine...let's get into the forest okay?" she said lightly.

[Quitting•]

"Nice catch!" Boneclaw meowed.
(Don't they live in the desert?) "Okay," Splashingriver agreed.

Echostar nodded and padded forward, the cactus forest reaching up ahead, their spikes extending to the sky like arms. She finally stopped and sat down facing Splashingriver.

"It's nice to relax like this once and a while." Bramblestrike mumbled through another mouthful.
