Howler smiled and nuzzled her, " Dont worry, we are far away and have a good head start if they try to kill us." He said and curled up next to her.

Emerald smiled. "I would die for you. You know that right?" Emerald looked up at him.

Brechen nodded. "Then get after the thing and bring it back for the pack to eat," he barked out commandingly. Once the hunters were gone he jumped down, wondering what would happen next.

Vallerie's lip curled as if she had just smelled something rotten. "Don't worry about them, I don't think they're keen to attack us," she told Aerie.

Sauver frowned, nuzzled Mekah, and joined Cody. "I guess it's just us," he said begrudgingly.

COdy nodded and ran out into the cold uninviting forest.

Howler shook his head, " I would die first, and if I died the only thing I would want you to do is move on and dont hate yourself."

Mekah sighed and watched him go, then slowly backed off and disappeared.

Aerie looked around, then saw Mekah coming up the hill, "Vall!" She whispered.

Vallerie stood up, her silver fur clearly visible in the midst of the white, snowy landscape. "Let her come Air," Vallerie murmured back. "There's only one of them and this could be a chance to become allies."

Sauver began to follow, then paused to scent the air. "It's this way," he called to Cody, and started towards the river. No doubt it was or would be stopping to get a drink. If they made it there in time, they could kill it then.

Mekah noticed two wolves, who she didn't know. Loners. She growled slowly, then spoke, "Who are You." She sneered the word you as if it was a hateful disease.

Aerie simply smiled, and waited for Vallerie to do the talking.

Vallerie smiled pleasantly, but her haughty air didn't diminish a bit. "We're just two friends whose pack has left us, quite on accident. We thought another pack was in the area," she replied, still holding a lofty, if not arrogant, expression.

"Oh.." Mekah looked confused, "What's your names?" She knew she had to be keen, and her instincts had to be controlled.
