And for the second one, I feel like the only one who doesn't mind the swirls and stuff at all. xD I think it looks really cool. I love the markings as well.

The only things that served as "inspiration" were the colour pallet, [Thranduil's crown] and the fact that I live in a very cold, snowy place. And that I like elves and royalty.

So if you want to link a movie or book to it, Tolkien's works would be the place to look? But it's not based off of any story or person in particular; he's just a king in the snow. Or queen, if you prefer. c:

The clouds on the tail on the same for both, but the clouds around the shoulders are different. The deep blue cat has less clouds around its shoulders, which makes me think of cool, clear winter nights, while the light blue cat has more clouds, reminding me of chilly winter days. ^^

And I love the eyes on the dark blue one! So cute! Make me think it's all sleepy <3

I think I prefer him as a king, rather than a queen, but it's all a matter of preference, I guess. You did a great job with the small details!
