Emberpaw scrambled up from his resting spot. Brambleheart had appeared at the opening of the apprentice's den. "Yes?" Emberpaw said, leaving the den and sitting next to the warrior.

Lately, it hadn't stopped raining. The freshkill pile was low, since prey had drowned or ran off. Times were bad for the clan, with unsuccessful hunts and patrols going out on slick mud. But still, they pushed trough it. For now. The apprentice wanted to help, but didn't know how.
