I totally know the feeling. Once I tried to get all my friends to play TF2, didn't work out so well..
But they know the characters and the basics of the game so when I'm rambling, they can atleast nod their heads. xD

On DeviantArt I'm a Pyro. A mother Pyro to be exact.

I took this "What TF2 character are you" test. I got Pyro.

Two of my DeviantArt friends tried it. One got Spy, one got Heavy/Pyro.

Then I told her that I got too friendly with the team's Heavy, thus she was created. <X'D

Then I adopted my orphan Spy. Now I'm a mommy.
