The new one came out yesterday. SPOILER
Apparently Cus she killed him she now has a ton of hallucinations. She stabs stefan and runs to the bridge
Then she throws her daylight ring in the water cuz her "Mom" (Hallucination) Told her too. The sun starts setting and damon finds her. He tells her " Lets go home". Elena looks down and back at damon. The sun is starting to rise. Damon says : "Elena wheres your daylight ring. Elena Where is it?!". She starts burning and says : Damon? He grabs her and jumps into the water.
At the end of the episode stefan tells her he cant do this anymore and breaks up with her
