Alright, doing that, now.
With the tank i cleaned out, the gunk came off easier than expected. There is still a problem though, i have this weird crusty stuff, that is now invisible due to me washing the tank, still on there. how do i get it off? i tried vinegar, hot water to the point that i burnt my hands. i've tried sponges and non soaped brillo-pad type thing that my dad has with his fish tank stuff.

Sorry guys. I've been a bit busy. Kinda an emergency question; I threw my shoe at my brother (missed purposely as a warning) but just my luck, it landed in the fishtank. -__- of course it was taken out immediately, and I don't have time to do it tonight, but should I do a water change or do you think it will be fine?
Sorry if I'm not posting often. I've got a few things going on in real life. I've also been having week-long migraines so bad that I cannot see. I hope everyone understands.

As long as you haven't been walking through any harmful substances, like a newly fertalized lawn or something, they should be fine, but you should probably do a water change just in case. An extra water change can never hurt.

It's horrible to hear about your hamster. D:
My guppy seems to be slightly bloated.... or maybe just too well fed since he likes to chase the cories away from their algae wafers.
But he's also seeming a bit sluggish.
