That's a good idea not to eat any sea food right now. But even after the spill is cleaned the fish and wildlife will still never be the same. I don't know if you know about "Bio-magnification" I learned about it last summer when I took Environmental Science it explains why fish have mercy in them. Like before I took this class I had no idea how or why fish had mercy in them and it wasn't safe to eat a lot of them if you where pregnant or what not. Ok to break it down "Mercy" gets into the water by electric companies. See electric companies use coal which contains mercy to make electricy unless they use steam or are wind power. The coal partials eventual make their way into the underground water shed and thus gets carried into bigger sections of water where the smallest things living ingest them just by breathing underwater. Bigger things eat the smaller things that already have a thousand or so of "ppm" which means parts per million. As the food chain continues on the ppm raises resulting in the bigger the thing you eat from the water the more pollution it has with in it's body from just living. I could get more in depth about it but I'm cutting it short I included a link below if anyone is interested about finding out more on the subject.

As my personal protest against this oil spill I am boycotting BP gas. I will not buy gas from them and help support their off shore drilling from now on.

That's a really good idea! People should defifitely be more responsible with oil being transported via boat, or just not do it at all!

BP thinks they have come up with a way to stop the spill!! I saw it on the news this morning that they were going to try to pump thick mud into the well, to stop it. I don't see how they can do this, if they can't even reach the break!! Oil is already on the shores of LA, Mississippi, GA, and now they are saying that it is going to hit Florida as well!!! This is terrible, and I want to do anything I can to help the critters, whithout going on a 8 hour drive. ( not yet legal)

I heard its grown even bigger now :( and I'm getting really worried. I live far north by Canada but still. What if they can't stop it? Could it be possible for this oil spill to kill the whole ocean!?

I hope they can save those poor animals. Also I LOVE to eat shrimp, and all the shrimp they are finding are dead.

Indeed. This oil spill will be changing EVERYONE'S lives. I think that if they can't plug it up, it will spread to all the seas, possibly killing off all algae, which is our main source of oxygen. Then we will die as well, as well as everyone else.

I don't think it will go as far as that. Maybe their new plan will work?? The heavy mud concoction didn't work, so maybe the new cap will.

The spill will be stopped in August, but two days ago was the start of hurricane season, and if a hurricane forms(which it will) it will scoop up some oil and take it where it goes, spewing it around like a rabid volcano. Then, all the ponds and sewage and grass and trees will be soaking up oil. It will be raining oil where that hurricane hits, killing birds, dogs, cats, turtles, horses, grass, flowers, trees and more. Not to mention, it could go into a river.

P.S, "Oil Hurricane"+Thunder does NOT equal "fire hurricane". Thunder and oil don't cause fires, and a fire couldn't survive in a hurricane so there will be no firey, flaming hurricanes going around the US hun.

And, here Sarah Palin is blaming the environment activists for the oil spill.
