Dusk growled at Emerald when she took part of his goose and then shrugged up at Bronte. "Ok then." He said and started to eat again.

Brechen watched Bronte warily, keeping a good distance of at least a yard between them. "Fine, just fine," he said, his rogue voice rough and throaty.

Bronte narrowed her eyes at him, " What? Am I a freak or something?" Seeing how he put distance between them.

Brechen frowned, his eyes slightly confused. "No...I just..." As a rogue, he was nervous around strangers, simply because throughout his life he'd built up a wall of distrust.

Bronte twitched her ears. She took a deep breath and smiled. " Im Bronte, by the way. Beta for this pack."

Brechen gave a lopsided smile, subconsciously scratching his right paw in the damp earth. "Yeah, me too, apparently."

Bronte tilted her head, " Figured he picked Polarus." She said before her smile subsided a little bit.

Brechen shrugged carelessly. "The one you call Polarus is alpha now."

Bronte rolled her eyes and couldnt help but smile, " No I never knew that." Sahe said and looked at him.

Brechen blinked and stopped. Is she being sarcastic? he wondered. "Um...okay." He turned to walk away.
