And don't worry Yagmur, the contest will open on the 30th but it'll go for a month or so to give everyone plenty of time to enter! I might have it run through till january, depending on how many people enter c:

As is just my luck, that day after I get back from my holiday I loose my tablet pen >.>
Since I'm not going to be able to draw until I find it again (or order a new one >:x ) I'll open up the artist competition early!
It'll run until january, and the contest will be to find 2 or 3 people who can create the best Newton designs, using a blank Newton template! You can make any design you want (obviously not ones that would break any site rules though!), although there will be a few restrictions on modifying the base template- things like altering the tail/eyes/mouth would be fine, but things like adding a pair of wings or 342543 horns would probably be best avoided!

I'll try a few simple designs with my mouse, but most likely I won't be putting out any new designs until I find my pen again ): If I can't get a pen until christmas, I might just draw some Newtons traditionally and then adopt them off on a first come first serve basis on this thread. Do you guys think that might work alright until I can use my tablet again?

Mouse drawing is harder then drawing with a tablet but you can still make good drawings. It takes a little longer and can be a huge pain in the wrist. I know, I had to draw with a mouse when my tablet was confiscated for a while.

I'll try my hand at using the mouse- since the lines are already mostly done hopefully it won't be to hard to do some more easy designs! Thankfully I'd drawn most of the last Halloween Newton before I lost my pen, so I was able to finish that up and put it up for adoption
I'll still put up the artist comp. sooner rather than later though! Once it's set up I don't have to worry about it then xD

I am a mouse user and always have been. At first i didnt know much of oekaki but well now that i do im not to shabby of i do say so myself XD

Im sure you could do good with smoothing on like 85-90 range. Thats what i do
