Cream Ninja
Ninja came awake with a start, he swiveled his ears trying to catch any noise that might of woken him up. Scanning the area near by and not seeing anything but unable to shake the feeling that something bad was about to happen. He quietly walked over to where Lady and Davi were sleeping. Ninja stood for a few more minutes loathing to wake them up only to have this turn out to be a false alarm. But he would hate to have anything happen to these two, little Davi was starting to grow on him. Ninja did one last scan of the area before reaching down and gently nudging Lady awake. She woke up with a annoyed little snort as she woke up a look of concern entered her face. Lady's ears begging to move trying to catch the sound of what ever was making them feel nervous. Ninja began to moving around the sleeping area, scanning the woods for any sent or sound. He heard Lady telling little Davi the need to get up and move on. Lady looked up and Ninja gave a slight nod for Lady to lead the way. Ninja brought up the rear.
They were over half way to the waterfall and the sun was out and felt so good that Ninja started to relax. It probably was just his imagination earlier he though to himself. Just as he finished that thought he caught the scent of wolf. Ninja let out a warning neigh and nudged little Davi faster. As they all broke in to a gallop he could here the wolves moving, it sent shiver of fear down his spine. Ninja could feel the wolves getting closer, he caught sight of one coming up on Daiv's side the one Lady was not on. Ninja put on a burst of speed and lashed out at the wolf with his front hooves. Letting out a challenging neigh that was slightly full of fear, as the wolf fell back in surprise Ninja leaped after Lady and Davi. He knew he could not leave them there was at least 3 wolves which for 3 full grown equids would have been possible to fend off. But not a mare with a young foal and one lone stallion. Ninja remembered then that the whole reason they were there was that herd of equids. If they joined up they should be able to drive off the wolves. Ninja let out a whiny for help.
Lady Magret
Lady gave a little snort of annoyance at being woken up, the sun was just thinking about making an appearance. There was no reason to be waking up this early. They had reached what they were looking for her slightly sleep fuzzed mind told her. As Lady came more awake she began to notice that there was a slight sens of something off in the woods. The usual sounds seemed to be a bit more quite then usual. Lady looked over her shoulder at Ninja who was standing guard his nostrils quivering and ears constantly moving. Lady reached over and gently nudged her son awake, it took a few bumps and a gentle tug on the ear. Before he woke up. Lady gave a huge mental sigh as her son looked up at her with his big sleepy amethyst colored eyes. She rely did hate to wake him but something was just not right and the sooner they got back to Don and Belle the happier she would be. Thoughts of the coming reunion raced through her mind, would Belle be happy to see her, would Don be upset that she had meet some one else in her time away and had had a foal and most importantly what had happened to her little filly. Lady shook her head to clear it and stood up, turning to Davi "I know it is early darling but we need to keep going." Lady reached out and gave her son an encouraging nuzzle, then looked over at Ninja. Ninja gave a nod that she should lead, so Lady struck out for the waterfall.
Lady was eager to get to the waterfall she had caught the scent of Don, Belle and an unknown mare or maybe filly. Maybe it was her long lost daughter. Lady looked over her shoulder to cheek on her son, as she was looking back the scent of wolf hit her nose just as Ninja let out a warning neigh. Lady pivoted around putting herself to the side of Davie that she had caught the scent from. She then pivoted again and urged urged Davi faster in to a gallop. In that brief instant she caught sight of at least two wolves one off to her left and one right behind them. Lady yelled at Davi "Keep running don't look back just keep running."
Lord Davin
Davi felt his mother nudging him, he ignored them some times she would let him sleep a few minutes more if he did not wake up right away. But then he felt her pull on his ear she only did that when something was worrying her and the need to move now. Davi opened his eyes and looked up at his mother, waiting to here what she had to say. Lots of emotions past over her face worry, fear, longing and some others that he could not tell. With a shake of her head she stood up and told him that they need to keep going. Mother gave him an encouraging nuzzle and shard a look with Ninja. And then took the lead which relay confused Davi Ninja always lead. As Davi feel in behind his mother he looked over his shoulder at Ninja, Ninja looked teens his ears and eyes were constantly moving. Davi gave a nervous little hop and moved up closer to his mother almost steeping on her tail.
Davi was frisking along after his mother the worrying start to the day long forgotten. There was just so much to do like that butterfly that kept flying after his mothers tail and was that a cricket over there. Then suddenly Ninja let out a waning neigh and his mother disappeared from in front of him and was suddenly next to him urging him to run. He hesitated for a seconded only to get a shove from behind from Ninja. Then he caught a scent he had only been shown by his mother at a old den of wolves and told that they were hunters and to be very careful of them. As these thoughts ran through Davi's head he heard his mother tell him to keep running and not stop no mater what. His mind blanked at this and all he could think was keep running till there was no more wolf smell.
(sorry sorry work has been crazzy and don't even get me started on the shift they want me to work on black Friday.
