Anwell glared at Jaques. He wanted ever so much to yell at the loner, Don't you DARE question the Alpha's words! But, he didn't want to. And he really shouldn't say something that he doesn't want to.
Holding his breath, he could feel the tension rise. What if Ayet decided to attack the lone wolf? What if it went the other way around? There were so many questions that could make anyone's head boggle with stressed out confusion.
"Jaques, I fear for your life," Anwell whispered to him. It was a short and strange whisper, but nonetheless effective.
"I'd be very, very cautious around Ayet, he thinks we're chasing demons," He continued to whisper. This time, he was trying to get Jaques away from the pack. Saying the truth about Sawtooth's situation would make anyone flee for their sanity.

((I'm just going to pop in randomly, hope it's alright. If not, go ahead and yell at me. sorry its huge, but i just kept going and going. Like the energizer bunny of typing randomly. Typing diahreah? Anyways, my fav word i used is lolling. It's an actualy word, and can be leet speek if your a nerd enough. XP))

Ryo yawned as he followed Tobi out of the hole they had been hiding in. He had been scared by the sounds of demons, so they hid until Tobi thought it was safe. Ryo was sniffing around trying to find the scents of her pack. She nudged Tobi and started jogging after her pack. She chose the newer scent, which was close by, and ran right into the clearing. She jogged to the water, and ran right in, washing the dirt of her body. Ryo splashed in after her, his tongue lolling to the side before he started drinking the water. She sneezed as he got some up his nose, then pounced after some fish, trying to catch some food. Tobi walked out and shook off, before walking over to where Niko was lying. She liked the wolf, and found her to be a warm sleeping companion. She curled up beside her, and kept her eye on Ryo as he hunted. He managed to catch a fish, and he carried it proudly through the clearing to where Tobi lay. He shook off as she ate, then lay down and joined her. He got a few big bites in before he fell asleep, and Tobi mover the rest to in front of Niko before sleeping herself.

Khamari snorted, though he had to agree, the water was quite cold, and smiled, just a little bit. He put his head on his front paws, staring forward at the lake and watching with mild interest as Ryo and Tobi splashed about after fish, then went off to sleep. "I'm hungry." He mumbled, though nobody was close enough to hear him. Khamari was tired, too tired to get up and hunt. *I'll just do it in the morning. That's when I'll hunt and eat all I can eat.* The thought was quite pleasant and he mulled over it, falling asleap with his mouth open and his tongue haning out slightly. He seemed to be smiling, and looked almost dead.

Turning to Jaques, his lips pulled back ever so slightly, so that it almost looked like a twitch. His voice was calm as he continued, tail still staing in it's "royal position". "By the way you talk, one would suspect that you think of yourself as being a dominant wolf here." He did not hear what Anwell said to the wolf, but he took a step closer so that he caught the word, demons. He would not bring it up to this wolf; anyone who had not seen what they had would not understand. "Now, friend. I don't want any trouble here for our pack, and I doubt you do. As long as you do not disturb my pack, you are free to come with us. You would be able to leave whenever, but you must catch your own food and pull your own weight." The wolf's eyes narrowed. "It can be dangerous in this eternal darkness, my friend. I would watch your step. There are dark things lurking in the shadows of this place."

Death smiled at the female. "Oh, I don't want much. The question is, what do you want, Niko? To die, before ever reaching the Sun? And what makes you so sure you'll be able to save him, if you do? The Sun is growing weaker by the second. With every plant that dies, every animal that joins my realms, he loses a little more power. Will he even be able to return to the sky, by the time you get to him?" The mutated creature paused, and his smile was wiped from his face. His tone of voice was now concerned. "Surely you do not want to die a failure? Join me, Niko. Become one of my demons, and I will make you the strongest wolf that ever set foot on Earth. You will have your own pack of demons, and you will fight for me. You will accomplish so much more with me, than you could with Ayet and his failures."

Niko listened quietly, and actually took what he said to mind. Though she would never admit it, she was worried that the whole quest for the Sun would be in vain. They were going against a god, a god who was able to beat their more powerful Sun. She wondered more than once if a small pack of wolves could even do anything. She narrowed her eyes as she thought. "You will make me a strong wolf. You will have me kill my pack-mates and the rest of the animals, and help you put the world into eternal darkness. I am one of Ayet's 'failures' in case you were wondering. Why on earth would I trade the lives of my family and friends for you? For some power? And what would the cost of such power be?" She ranted a bit at him, but he was annoying her. Sure, they may be doing this in vain, but at least they were trying to do the right thing.

River ran threw the forest smelling her way back to her pack. She came to a clearing in the forest and stopped in her tracks. If she went threw the clearing she would be out in the open to any demons watching her. Their would be no place to hide for any watching eyes. She slowly began to walk into the clearing her feet crunched threw the dying grass. Each step only reminded her how important it was that they defeated death and save the sun. With each day that passed with out the sun was another day that more of the earths plants would die. "If all of the plants die we will die to." She thought to herself. When she was halfway threw the clearing she heard the growl of a demon crouching in the dead grass. Rivers pulled her ears flat against her head sticking her tail straight as it puffed up. She lifted her lips and showed her teeth as a low growl came from her throat. "I may be small and alone, but I am a member of the Sawtooth pack and I will defeat you." She growled. The bobcat demon leaped at her snarling and River dogged it's first attack. The bobcat was only slightly bigger than her but it's claws where thick and curled perfectly designed for slicing threw flesh. River circled the snarling demon cat waiting for its next move. Something beyond the clearing called out in the night catching the cats attention and River took it as the perfect chance to attack. She grabbed a hold of the bobcats throat and squeezed down cutting off the demons breath. The demon clawed at River as she took the beast down. Moments latter the demons body went still and River released her death hold. She began to spit out the foul tasting demons blood that filled her mouth. Hopefully she would come across a puddle or a stream to rinse the foul taste out of her mouth. She lifted her head in the direction that the bobcat had been intrigued by. "To go or not to go that way." She thought to herself. What ever was their was something big that the bobcat seemed frightened.

Torka had nodded his head and then toddled off when Rain stood up. He circled Ayet for a moment, looking up at the lone wolf, before galloping around the area; following any wolf for a space of two seconds then turning back and following another. He planted his bottom on the ground, lifted his hind leg and in an attempt to scratch behind his ear - fell onto his side.

Toko soon nabbed a fish, killing it instantly and tossing it onto the shore. After a bit of a wait, he caught a few more and went to feast on his catch, wondering if the waters would always be this full of life. He wolfed ((HAHA, PUNNY!)) down, swallowing many of the prey whole. When he was finished, he padded calmly over to where all the commotion was and stood next to Ayet, trying to puzzle out all that was going on.

"Oh, it's okay, it's okay, don't worry about it," August said. I'm used to it... Graciously, she picked the least-wilted flower out of the bunch Rain held out to her and expertly hooked it on her claw so that she could put it behind her ear. Smiling she said, "Really, it's not a big deal. I'm glad you're getting to know some of the other pack members." They're much more interesting than I am... She began to walk slowly towards the lake, making sure that Rain was still beside her. "Did you get Haru to take a good look at you?" Her brow furrowed when she noticed how bad he was limping. "I'm going there myself right now, you should join me if you're still hurting," she said shyly. Yeah, because he really wants to spend his time with the vicious, antisocial wolf...
