Well, my parents, on the highways in Germany, they say they drive really fast. On the highways, I mean. Like, 160km/h plus? And the roads are narrower.

But I could just be saying that because here in Canada, drivers are stupid! XD They, like, constantly don't use turn signals, they park their car IN THE STUPID SCHOOL PARKING LOT, they go through red lights.... O.o;

I tried to get my friend into daemons and she thought it was stupid. T_T I showed her the daemon website and she said "You actually believe in that junk?"
She's a over the top Christian and flipped out when she found out I was atheist. I just turned to her and went "Well, you believe in God." And she shut up. I hate it when people don't even give something a chance because they think it's stupid (I gave religion a chance and every time they taught stuff I started hating it more and more. And I believe in evolution).

Religion conversations never go over well. At all. They end the same way every time.

Both sides get angry, they both don't want to understand the other side, they just want to be right, then they both walk away all huffy under the guise of "I'M DONE WITH THE CONVERSATION" when really all they did was throw a grownup version of a temper tantrum and flounce.

They can work out alright sometimes - I've got a religious friend who I often debate with over various points about religion, and we've never had any blow-ups or snits about it. :3 We're both very laid back though, and we also both have a strong scientific background (I'm a biologist, he's a microbiologist) so that helps overcome the usual language barrier, and we usually just banter back and forth until we have to stop to make dinner or something. Neither of us is trying to convert the other, which helps a lot. I always like discussing religion with people, so long as it stays civil and no one starts getting angry or aggressive on either side, as I find it really interesting what people believe and why. ^^

I can drive well but I don't have a license. >.> I keep meaning to get one, but I get freaked out at the thought of driving around other vehicles. My family's had a bad history with cars - every single one of us has been in a bad car wreck at some point, at least two of which (including the one I was in) had fatalities, so I'm nervous about the whole idea of it.

Of course, I'm Christian... ish... so.... XD But I will be going to a Catholic high school in the fall!

I think our Peds here are worse than the drivers. You have to be taught how to cross the street here, because the cross walk will do you no good. You'll see people running across the street and weaving through cars. It's terrifying, which is why I use only the cross walks, which takes about 10 minutes to get across, but whatever XD

@ Atwood - that's my problem too. I was in a car accident last year, and it pretty much scarred me for life. Both literally and figuratively. It wasn't even that bad of an accident, but I did have a complete fracture of my thumb (from a gesture of self-defense where I raised my hand to protect my face) and some cuts, scratches, and a lovely new gift of sensitive lungs from the talc that got in there :C

Most of my friends don't believe in god. I think only a few actually go to church. I'm lucky my parents are really religious. I'm not sure about my mom's side of the family but my dads side of the family is Christian. They seem really into it and everything. I mean I've been to church before but I don't believe much of what they say. I don't mind if people are religious but I'd just rather not have religion stuffed down my throat.

One thing that bugs me is science. I consider it a religion because the definition of religion is a way to describe the world around us. And thats what science does. Sure there's proof but there's proof of religion too. And what we are learning are just theories. Not necessarily fact. Why should I waste time learning a theory that won't help me much in life. Why can't they teach us about like illnesses we should know about and stuff like that. I don't care how the earth was formed. And then when I ask about why we have to learn it I get the teacher telling my dad he thinks I'm disrupting class and trying to waste time when he even says its a good question.

I'mm more than annoyed that my stepdad's insurance hasen't given me my card yet. His work switched in December, and I am accepted as a dependent under it.
