"I love you.. Sammy, please.." I choke, my voice hoarse.

[Patch.]

Mazzy closes her eyes and prays hard to any god or goddess she can think of.

After minutes that seem like hours, Sammy's chest rises gently in a single breath. And then again...

[FamineMyth]

I watch Sammy, gently rubbing some warmth into her hand.

[Patch.]

"Come on, Sam," Mazzy whispers since Griffin had stopped talking.
Sammy's breathing was a little stronger, but she was also shivering.

[FamineMyth]

I gently stroke back her hair, sniffing.

[Patch.]

Sammy suddenly lets out a rigid gasp and her eyes fly open. "Griffin!" she chokes, trembling with cold.
Mazzy grabs the blanket and wraps her in it carefully, allowing her to lean towards her mate.

[FamineMyth]

My eyes are stinging with tears. "I thought you were dead." I say, shaking.

[Patch.]

"Keep her warm. I gonna find clothes for her." Mazzy gets up and moves away, mostly to leave Sammy and Griffin alone....

I feel like pieces of ice are being forced into my skin. I gasp and shake as a force pushes me firmly but gently into Griffin's chest. Griffin...my best friend...my mate...my love. My heart pounds strongly as I nuzzle his shoulder instinctively.

[FamineMyth]

I hold her gently, careful of her wounds. "You remember?" I ask, not bothering to wipe my wet cheeks.

[Patch.]

"Everything," I reply with a stifled groan. My body felt like it had been kicked around by a bunch of wild horses.
