i had the same thing happen but it annoys me in a different way
I have a Bronco player's daughter at my school. She knows her dad is famous and uses it as an advantage. All the boys like her/use her just so that they can hear about her dad. And all the girls like her because she attracts the boys. omg. little snob.

I hate that I'm jealous of the fact that the attention that one of my best friends' story is getting is more than all the attention my stories got put together. Apparently the story she wrote for an assignment is absolutely amazing and she has been getting complements on it all day. This is killing me- I love to write and always wanted to come up with a fantastic story but I never have, in spite of the amount of effort put into the stuff I write. The worst part? When I asked her what the story was about and she told me, my eyes started tearing up. That was just a summary and I was already getting emotional- that must mean it's good. If someone acknowledged my writing than I wouldn't have a problem with the fact that everyone's loving her story, but no one has ever liked my writing. Either that, or my stories are just not creative enough. Or they just don't center on the stuff that appeals to people my age. I dunno, but obviously my writing is no good! And this girl wasn't a great writer when she was in my class last year. How could this be possible? Stop stealing the spotlight that was never actually mine, girl.
