You hardly ever get a decent offer....

Nah I think I'm done with auctions. The only ones I've ever really gotten anything out of were the ones looking for the most pets to boost my hoards and trades groups. With those it's quantity over quality so it's simple, the person who bids the most stuff I want wins. Other than that I can never figure out which offer is worth what. Especially when I get someone offering like 100+ uncommon pets for my rares and very rares. Where I'm actually trying to figure out rarities and values it's overwhelming wading through hundreds of low value pets.

You should do what I do, then. If it's a good rare or VR, like, say, a CE Galaxy, make a rule that says "No Uncommons". Therefore, no one could bid them on my CE Galaxy. And when I got a person with two-thirds of the auto, I basically ditched the auction and tried to get that person to trade for the third pet.

I would honestly try to help you, but I still have no idea how I got where I am now. O.o

It's called time, patience, and trading carefully. That, and hitting the adoptions forums as much as you can to help you with missed outcomes so you don't necessarily have to trade for them.
You've only been around a few months, so don't take it hard babes. It takes everyone a bit to get to that point of having tons of extra trades.

Just keep at it and work your hardest (while still having fun!) and you'll be fine.

I joined at a good time; during the Halloween candy hunt. You could trade in candies that you found on the forums for pets that all turned out to be rare ^^ I traded a bunch of rares for someone's BE Galaxy, then I traded that for a purple toxic, then I traded the purple toxic for a Nontag, then I traded the Nontag for a Dogtag. Takes awhile, but you get there :3
Anyways, I hate how in auctions, people usually try to get you to over offer >>

The people in the auction I'm doing right now have no choice. I made sure their offers were fair first, or the trades wouldn't go through, but then they hit even and had to start competing.

What I mean is like when people set autos super high, then people bid to try to match it, and they eventually end up over bidding by a lot.

I'm careful with my auctions these days. When I auctioned the CE, I made sure the auto was fair. ^_^ Now both of us are happy.
I hate the people who continue under-offering even after I've told them countless times they're not winning! And one of them tried to add a VC to their bid after being told it would not be accepted. -_-

x3 I don't try to make people over offer in mine. They either have to pull out, or over offer if someone else is at the "fair" mark.

Some people's autos are outrageous!
I saw a common July/August 08 in an auction. Can't remember what exactly but their auto was a zebra + a banana! That's just crazy! Each are worth twice as much as what they were offering.
I hate no end date auctions. I'm not saying that you have to have a set date when you first start your auction or if you aren't getting any bids but once they start rolling in, set a date! You offer someone a crap load of pets and you have no clue if you are going to get it this week or a month from now.
Also, keep who's in the lead up to date or at least marked someway! Nobody is going to bid more if they don't know what to beat!
And if the auction is close to 2 people winning, the kind thing to do is to PM that person and see if they would increase their offer. I just lost out on one of my last dream pets because someone came in at the last moment and offered just a little more. I had the pets to offer but I didn't get the chance to increase my bid. I guess its their loss.
