I'll make a story soon...

and

Mademoiselle (F) ---------------------------------- Contraire (M)
Yeah, Contraire is a girly name, but whatever.
Here's the story!
It is 1943. It all started with the lemon theft.
Who am I? Some call me Jew. Others call me Orphan. But my real name is Contraire. I hate those two soldiers that killed my parents. Stupid Germans.
No, I don't blame the Germans. I blame him. Hitler. Or maybe... I don't think I blame anyone. Not even Death. No, I blame war. And evil. And cruelty. For maybe Hitler.... maybe he thinks that he's helping his country by killing us. Maybe it's evil that found a way into him... and sucked out all the kindness of the world.
Or maybe it's his bad luck. Maybe he's putting down his bad luck onto us, because there is no one else to put his anger onto.
Anyway, moving on. I have not family. I mean, who would want to take in a Jew, when they were being taken away in the first place? But being small and swift, no one seemed to notice me. And I liked it like that.
But I was becoming desperately hungry, in this little town of Germany, so I was forced to steal; something I did regularly. The bakery had been closed, because it had been owned by a Jew, and a large yellow star had been painted onto the window.
The meat place was out of question. I didn't like the look of that place. So after stealing this and that, I found the lemon tree.
It was the largest tree in all of Germany, or at least I thought so. And in the tree were the largest and sweetest and sourest lemons of the whole world. There were so many that I was free to steal them without anyone noticing.
But one day as I approached this beautiful lemon tree, with its wondrous fruit and dream-like stance, I saw a bundle.
At first I thought it was a pack of lemons. But then, as I approached, I saw it was a small girl, with large red eyes and yellow fur tinted with lemons.
"Who- are you?" I murmur in confusion.
"They call me Lemondrop, but I don't think I want my name to be that..." She murmurs in uncertainty.
"What do you want your name to be?" I question.
"Mademoiselle."
"Then that's your name." I tell her in determination.
And from then on, we built a friendly relationship.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
"Stop! Thief!" I hear someone yell as I dart through the dusted streets. The sky is dull and little sun is showing, and my eyes are having trouble seeing through the misty fog.
But I don't stop. In my hands, a soft necklace with a silver chain is cradled gently. A pendant, a golden pendant in the shape of a dragonfly hangs by the chain, with an azure blue stone on the gold.
"Mademoiselle! Maddie!" I yowl as I near the lemon tree.
"What?"
"I stole today," I tell her, and her face screws up in a certain way. "Stealing is a sin," She says.
"But I stole for you," And out of my hands, my paws, I take out the necklace and put it around her neck.
(I couldn't find the actual necklace, of course, so I used the Hanukkah one. I'll continue later. x3)

Thanks. xP Yeah, we study WWII in 8th grade, so I'm not there yet, but I've read a lot of (fiction) books about the subject. Malka, Someone Named Eva, Book Thief, I Have Lived a Thousand Years, Number the Stars, The Boy in Striped Pajamas, etc.

Guys, keep it in the PMs. This is spamming.

Ah, I see. x3 Well our teacher is always like, "Well, this is supposed to be for adults, but you 6th graders will be fine reading it!" (Edit: Oops, sorry Annelise.)
I'll write more later.

Daydreamer: That reminded me a lot of Milkweed with all the talk about being called a Jew and orphan, and the "Stop theif!" part. Have you ever read that one? (not accusing you of anything, just one of my favorite stories)
Anyways, that's a really sweet story, and I love the way you told it. I've always been afraid to do a WWII story for fear that I'd offend someone, but you told it well. Very sweet.

Thanks. ^^ And yeah, I read the beginning of Milkweed. I should have included that I got inspired from that. x3 Thought in Milkweed it's "Gypsy!" and not "Jew!"
Though the orphan part is found in a lot of my stories. =P
