================================
To help prevent this forum from being cluttered with 'is this dog rare?' or 'I think I got a rare! *shows common pet*' threads, I have decided to make a topic that outlines, from what I can tell so far, which pets are rare and which pets are not. I have been here since the first adoptables back in April, but am by no means an expert so feel free to suggest revisions.
For all pet variations, see my archive here.
But before I start, something to take into consideration:
1. July pets are very scarce because not many were around in July.
2. August pets are scarce because only a few were around in August.
I have ignored these 2 points for the purpose of the guide below so that the variations can be compared in terms of rareness, but definitely keep this in mind when trading & adopting: all July dogs should be considered rare, and all August dogs should be considered uncommon.
Scale
Common, Uncommon, Rare, Very Rare, Extremely Rare
- Please note that the difference between Rare & Very Rare is large.
Cats, Horses, Butterfly Wolves
All are readily available and common (except the palomino September Special horse & Halloween Black Cat).
There is no real point trading these.
Gen 2 Dogs
There are currently 2 litters with 4 puppies in each.
The 1st two litters of Gen 2 dogs are all common.
In the 2nd litter of Gen 2 dogs, the green with purple swirls is most common, the purple pups are common and the green puppy is uncommon/rare.
Rats
All July Rats were common. The Pawprint rats had 2 variations, but they both seem equally common.
All August Rats were common. The Pink Heart rats had 2 variations, but they both seem equally common.

(I am not positive about the pink pups, or which is rarer out of the Red X pups)
