Talia felt lonely as she sat in the shade. Her paw burned with pain when she finally got up and padded out to the beach. It was still raining but some sunlight was coming through the clouds. Sadly, the sunlight would soon be consumed by the surrounding clouds. Then, she spotted a male(Maverick) on the beach. With a sigh, the husky-lab mix walked towards the male and stared at him for a moment. "You know there's a storm right?" she murmured softly as the sand made her paw feel worse.

The sun was soon enclosed in the clouds as the sky darkened. "That just makes it more fun." He smiled at her, his brown eyes reflecting the waves. "I'm Maverick."

"It's a pleasure to meet you Maverick, I'm Talia." Talia replied softly as her chestnut brown eyes glinted softly against a small flash of lightning. She returned the smile as she admired the waves for a second.

"Beautiful, Is'nt it?" He murmered, closing his eyes as the saltwater-scented wind blew through his fur. "This is my home. My human runs the snackshack up there. He goes home at night, but I sleep in my bed there."

Brandi could not fall asleep easily, and often changed positions. Once he really fell asleep on his side, his dreams were not nice.
Brandi is in the studio. He is with Allyson, and 3 pups jumping about them. He is happy and proud. Suddenly, everything crashes. A huge wave, larger than the building itself. It breaks the walls, windows, furniture... Everything. Then the worst happened. It took away Allyson and 2 of the pups. One little male, that looked nearly exactly like him, was shivering with coldness and terror. "Daddy, I'm scared." The pup whispered, too frightened to speak louder. The furious water was destroying everything, exept for them. The wave just curled around them, not even getting the new father and pup wet. Brandi whimpered. Brandi was rolling around and whimpering in his sleep.

Talia nodded and looked back at him, listening to Maverick closely. When he mentioned a snack shack, her eyes brightened, for she was hungry. However, Talia didn't want to be rude and ask for food, so she said, "Sounds nice."

Chase bounded onto the beach, sand flying up onto his fur. He smiled at the soft waves rolling into the beach, and he put his paws gently into the water. "Where are all the other dogs?" he asked himself, looking around the sandy beach. No sign of them.

Allyson groaned, padding to the opposite side of the room and laying down on an old ragged pillow.

Sami woke up as a rat scurrie across the room, it bared it's long rodent teeth at her, almost like an evil smile. It's yellow eyes glowed in the darkness. Sami growled, her canines showing.

Jock opened his eyes and saw the rat. He gently picked it up by the scruff of the neck and pushed it out the window, then nudged it shut with his nose.

Sami flattened her ears and turned red, embarrassed.
