ѕтory:
The cold was bitter and biting, freezing noses and toes. Snow flew every which way, obscuring any vision that could have been hoped for. Jupiter kept his head down, trudging slowly up the slope. His wings were firmly planted back against his back, and he doubted he could use them even if he wanted to. Ice had formed over them, and if he had opened them, the wind would have sent him tumbling backwards anyway.
Jupiter pulled himself forward slowly, ever so slowly. He'd been steadily progressing towards the top of the mountain for three days, but his progress had slowed considerably with the storm. He had to make it to the top... Sighing, the wolf like creature tucked his head and kept forging ahead, almost belly deep in the snow. Almost there, he kept muttering to himself.
And soon enough, his paws were skittering across loos pebbles, where there was a ridge, and the snow was unable to stick. He hauled himself onto it with a sigh, before he started sniffing around the base of where the land went up once more. His passion was renewed, and he quickly was able to find the cave he was looking for in the first place. He pushed the snow out of the way with heavy paws before wiggling his way in, slowly padding deeper into the cave before he laid down with a happy sigh. He was supposed to wait for someone- someone special here, and he wasn't leaving until she showed.

A day passed as Jupiter slept, and he woke to listen hard, the howling of the wind now gone. He heaved himself to his feet and pushed away snow from the entrance of the cave, before slowly and carefully stepping out into the powdery snow. He gazed over the stark white landscape before slowly crossing it, growing worried that she had not come yet. She should be here.... he thought. A flash of black caught his eye and he bounded forward with renewed energy. He rounded the rock with a spray of snow, his eyes alight and hopeful, before stopping dead, his head falling- it was only a piece of abandoned cloth.
Jupiter waited another two days, finding stray rabbits to snack on. the last night he could stay, he lifted his nose to the sky and gave a howl so mournful it could have made you cry. He rose to the sky with large wings, vowing he would never again make such a commitment, never again to fall in love. He left that place, never to return, but the hurt and sadness lingered.
