3000feet - thats why i got her (actually think its a female after some research). my community tank is a faux reef tank =P though im still working on it. trying to get fish that look like saltwater fish. thats actually quite difficult =/

jellybaloo - cool gourami =) i had a fire gourami (think thats what its called), a silver/black gourami and a red/black gourami (dont know names). but i got ick in my tank when i first set it up (came on one of the fish) and only the silver/black gourami survived. then he started really picking on my other fish so i gave him to my fiance's mom =P

You can get flame gourami that might be the one your thinking of
Once you get your faux reef tank set up I would love to see some pics it sounds awesome! How big does the loach get?

Can anyone tell me what kind of algae this is? It is only on the Java Moss in this one tank.

Can't really see if among the moss, but I know my java moss gets hair algae.

I don't think it is hair algae because it is short and brown. It just looks like a brown fuzz covering the moss.

Brown algae is usually from low lighting, do you have a light on the tank?

I just have a normal CFL bulb in a clip on lamp. I only have Black Skirt Tetras in the aquarium and they seem to color up better with low lighting. Is there a way to get rid of it without increasing my lighting?
