The "wasted opportunity" line is what rubbed me wrong. That is seriously rude to the artist, who said herself that she wasn't comfortable enough in her artistic ability to do the pup and adult versions.

Sure, disapproval of a pet is fine, but people should still be respectful is how they phrase things. If I had read that someone called a pet of mine a wasted opportunity just because I wasn't able to recreate it on a different growth, I would be pretty peeved.

guys, people are allowed be disappointed in the pets, we don't have to praise the all-mighty creators of chickensmoothie every time a pet is released.

Also, instead of complaining about the fact that they don't have a PPS tag, you should be grateful that CS even put out the event in the first place. They really didn't have to, but they did because they know how much the users like it.

Next time, thank the artists and Tess and Nick for creating this wonderful event instead of complaining about it.

Yes and for the last time, I know people are allowed to have opinions and dislike pets and such, but they still need to respect the pet! That's all I was saying. Saying something is "lame" or "a wasted opportunity" is pretty rude. I'm not saying they can't dislike the artwork or the pet or whatever, what I was saying is that they still need to show respect. I know if something like that was said about something I had taken a lot of time to make, I would be upset.

I totally understand what you are saying... and it can get annoying...

The complaint was not about the pet. He/she liked the pet. The complaint was that is was "lame" that is was a PPS, I think. I dunno it changed a couple of times. Which, in turn, changed into a discussion about PPS stuff. The interesting thing about this situation.. is it is your choice to buy the pet or not. You are never "stuck" with a pet.. you can choose not the buy it, or you can trade it away. Someone will love it. Do something nice and gift bomb someone.

The truth is this person was prolly just upset they did not check the pet to make sure and just took it out on the thread/artist.

Regardless, being respectful is appreciated... The artists work hard on some of these designs. Doesnt mean we have to like everything .. true.. but it's an interesting dynamic to have a discussion with so many different types of people from different places. I am amazed it is as civil as it is. Disagreements are destined to happen... I would imagine the artists are pretty used to hearing it from both sides by now.

Sorry for the rambling... just having a convo with myself I guess.. haha

Back on topic.. Love the Halloween pets this year... I will be happy to take any unwanted PPS bats.. o__


One more thing... if the pet would have grown up.. someone would have complained that it wasn't a PPS... LOL

I disagree. I think some coments were disrespectful...
I care about both. But if someone is being rude about it, I tend to take what they say with a grain of salt.

I care about both. But if someone is being rude about it, I tend to take what they say with a grain of salt.

Taking something with a grain of salt is to not take it to heart and not get upset about it. I'm an artist too, and I much value someone giving me critique, even if it's not completely constructive (sometimes unknowingly so), over someone going "oh WOW! You can draw SO GOOD! I wish I could draw that good! You should go to college for that or something!" Honestly, overly praising me is embarrassing and I don't much care for it.

And, again, I said the idea that they weren't going to grow was lame. No disrespect meant whatsoever. I had no idea the artist had no plans to even draw an adult version, though I think they perhaps could have collaborated with another artist to help them if they had the idea to make one. if you have a great idea, you shouldn't let it go to waste!

The fact that I was so disappointed they weren't going to grow is evidence enough that I love the idea of the bats. I don't hate the outcome, just sad that I won't see an adult version.

There are tons of new pets to get rarities, so try to be patient. I know everyone really wants to know the rarities of the event pets, but that's a lot of updating to do, along with the fact that some older pets might have changed, too. This time of year, it's hard to say when the new rarities will be out, because it is a very busy time, there's Halloween, the staff pets, and they are preparing for Advent. So try to enjoy the pets for what they are, and don't be worried about how "rare" they may or may not be. ^^" If you like the pet, I doubt that having a rarity would make you like it less/more?

I'm not laughing. I managed to gather 16 wolf pups hoping even one of them would
turn into a white PPS, but so far it's not looking good. I have gotten 6 brown ones and 6 gray ones.
Luckily I still have 4 newborns left; a 1-day old and three 2-days olds. I'm crossing my fingers here.
