{ This role-play, slightly based off of The Sight by David Clement-Davies,
was a remake and change of a previous role-play I made about the same pack. }

The Novu is a pack of wolves with a territory that reigns the heart of Alaska and stretches across the land towards the Canadian borders. The pack is currently led by the dove-white female Immortal, who in fact is a soon-to-be mother. Due to the large amounts of land they own, naturally they have a border - the Karahi. Their enemy pack is lead by the Alpha Male Kuzaro, who has been dreaming of the day when he will be able to take over Immortal's pack. There was once a great amount of piece in Alaska, as far as the wolves are concerned, but with the Karahi gaining ground closer to their own, the Novu have been forced to fight for their lives.

To make matters worse, there's been rumors of a prophecy involving Immortal's future pups. Her children will be born to her within days, half of which will have abilities beyond anyone's reach. There are many wolves who doubt the prophecy, those who wish not to believe it, and others who have been contemplating leaving the strong, free-willed pack. The future of the Novu pack, and Immortal's children, is in the hands of the entire pack. If the pack stays strong, they will be able to conquer the Karahi and keep their members safe. But, if wolves begin to leave and doubt the Alpha Female's reign, the pack will begin to fall apart.

History of the Packs

The Karahi pack was once a noble pack, the Alpha leading over forty strong members, excluding the pups and younglings. The pack grew and formed a territory bordering nine-hundred square miles, stretching far across Alaskan territories to oceanic borders of the state. The first ruler of the Karahi was Yukon, a black-coated, one-hundred and sixty pound male wolf. He was brave and wise, often putting his life on the line for his pack's. With the Alphess, Kiliah, Yukon was given six litters of pups, over a span of four years. Many of those pups did not survive the harsh climates of Alaskan territory, but seventeen of the twenty-eight managed to make it to full adulthood. Yukon had seven sons and ten daughters, six of which went off to find new beginnings.

One son, a little black-spotted runt, was often never seen except for meetings and training. The son's name was Kodiak - named firmly after one of wolf's largest predators, the bear. Kodiak often fought his father as a youngling, and many others, due to his low self-esteem and pre-mature figure. Finally, when he turned three, Kodiak's form began to fill out. Two years later he was larger than his own father and blinded by hatred from his bullied childhood. One night, when many wolves were beaming over a new litter, the angered son went into his parents' den and brutally murdered his father, driving his mother out a few months later.

The Beta in command, Secario, left the pack and along with him several others fled. They moved East of the Karahi and close to the Canadian borders, and began their own pack - the Novu. Secario met his mate Faline and they had many litters, one of which Immortal was born into. Not only that, but Kodiak had his own son, Kuzaro, with a weak female who was later killed by a seasonal snow storm. Immortal was the only one of her siblings, there were five of them, to stay with the Novu and attempt to make them stronger.

Ever since Kuzaro grew to take his place as Alpha of his father's pack, he has wished for a strong pack - like the one his grandfather had. In order to get this pack, he will take any measures, and has promised the Karahi longevity through force of the destruction of the Novu.

The Prophecy

Postby Luckypaw » Mon Nov 12, 2012 1:13 pm

The Prophecy has been rumored about for the last decade, leaving many to believe that they might not be able to trust their loyal leaders. It has been told loosely through many different mouths, and no one is exactly sure about what it might mean or who it involves. It speaks of a lone female giving birth to many young, half of which will bear several powers. Powers that no one could've expected to ever be real, and so that leaves them doubting. The pups of the female were said to be of 'royal' blood, and one of these pups resembled her mother in looks. The prophecy speaks of clashing coats and dove-white pelts, and betrayal of another upon the family. It is said to lead to disaster and the death of many. The Prophecy, known well by Immortal, is below.

Many pups will be born to a lone female of dove-white
Three of those which will always bring great delight
But, three of them do not know where they belong
As they lead wolves unknowingly with a battle song
They have powers of the gods and the will to fight
Each with rippling snarls and fierce, mighty bites

Those who believe the truth will always protect
And those who deny the truth will always suspect
They will fight and convince others onto their side
While causing the pups to run with fright and hide
As those who betray will seek blood of the little ones
Those who believe will die for the daughters and sons

Until the pups can successfully lead like their parent
They will not understand the future, but it is inherent
The three pups must join together in a valiant song
Knowing what's right for the pack and what's wrong
They must give their powers and life for the others
Saving the lives of their sisters and brothers

And so the three pups must learn to control
Their powers, their hearts and their strong souls
Or else they will lead to the blood shed of friends
Leading to the pack's destruction and end

Alpha Pair
The Alpha pair are the leaders of the pack, the male is often a little more dominant over the female, but not always. The Alphas are the ones to make the rules of the pack and are often the ones to enforce it. The Alphas are usually the ones to accept or deny new wolves, though they may pass the responsibility off to another wolf of high status. The Alpha pair are always the first the eat, their pups are always fed before others, if there is a shortage of food.

Beta
The Beta is the wolf placed in second in command, this wolf is usually born into the pack and are old and wise enough to make good decisions. The Beta is given the power to accept or deny new wolves, and are also able to punish wrong doers but are unable to chase wolves out of the pack, nor are the permitted to kill unless it's absolutely necessary. In the event of the Beta taking a mate the wolf he/she has chosen will not be recognized as a Beta but usually holds a certain amount of authority.

The Elite Guardians
The Theta Guards
The Theta Guards are four wolves responsible for looking after the higher ranks; the Betas and Alphas. Their job is not to keep them from dangerous situations or tell them what to do, but rather to go with them and protect them. They can also be used for scouts when needed for patrols.

The Zeta Warrior
The Zeta Warrior is the wolf in charge of the Warriors, they are usually larger male wolves though it isn't unheard of for females to be the Zeta. The Zeta is responsible for training Warrior Novies and plan attacks when needed.

The Delta Hunter
The Delta hunter is the wolf put in charge of the main hunting party. The Delta has proven they are the fastest and most skilled when it comes to hunting, the Delta leads each hunt with the hunters and train the Hunter Novies.

The Guards
Warrior
The warriors are the protectors of the pack. Not only must Warriors be strong physically but mentally as well, they must be prepared to kill another wolf, if need be and die for their pack. The Warriors are led by one wolf called The Zeta.

Hunter
The hunters are wolves the excel in hunting. Hunters are always the first choice when it comes to catching prey. The hunters are led by one wolf called The Delta.

Healer
A healer is a wolf with knowledge in both the body and mind of a wolf, they also know how to 'heal' wolves using natural ingredients from the forest. Healers are often very wise and spiritual and are highly respected among the pack.

Providers
A provider is basically a pupsitter. A provider is usually a female, they are trusted members of the pack and are trusted to watch the pups while their parents or busy. Not every wolf can make it as a Provider, the wolf must be exceptionally patient and gentle but able to dish out appropriate punishments for wrong doers.

Novices
A Novice is a wolf in training for a specific part of the guard, their title would be whatever they are training for followed by 'Novice.' Example: Warrior Novice, Healer Novice. These wolves are usually two years of age, though it isn't unheard of for older wolves to try and earn a rank in the guard by first training as a Novice. The wolf in training must remain as a Novice for at least a year, though some may be forced to spend an extra season or even year perfecting their skills.

Elders
Wolves at the age of eight and beyond are considered elders. These are older wolves that have served their pack loyally, they are now able to spend the remainder of their lives in safety and comfort. Elders may also be trusted to pupsit pups, especially in the absence of Providers. Though some may be grumpy, all must be respectful of them.

Pups
Despite being the youngest and weakest members of the pack, pups are regarded quite highly. Everyone in the pack usually helps to take care of them, the loss of a pup is a tragic time for any pack, it usually takes a pack quite awhile to get over the death of a pup. The Alpha's pups are always looked after a little more than others, they are the first to fed in hard times and Providers tend to be a bit more mindful of the Alpha pups.

Stained Wolves
Stained wolves are wolves that have done something wrong in the pack. Every wolf is capable of becoming a Stained wolf other than Pups, Alphas and Omegas. As a Stained Wolf you're second to last to eat, you're confined to the densite or den and you are often subjected to humiliating attacks and random bites. Once the punishment is over, which varies depending on the offence, the wolf is sometimes allowed to resume their previous role or they may be demoted.

Outsiders
Outsiders are wolves under observation, they have asked to join the pack but have not yet been fully accepted as a member. Outsiders are treated with caution, they are never allowed near pups or sleep in the main den, regardless of the weather, unless the Alphas say otherwise. One does not usually stay an Outsider for long, you are either accepted rather quickly or seen as a threat and chased off.

Omegas
The Omega is the absolute lowest, the wolf placed in this position may of done something very wrong to achieve this rank. The Omega is last to eat and is often not allowed to sleep in the main den with the others. They are often subjected to random and pointless acts of aggression. Many members of the pack use the Omega as a way to get their anger out, and they are often seen with bite marks around their rump and muzzle.

The Novu
Their territory is surrounded by large and small mountains, circling halfway around the boundaries of the Novu's area before they are intercepted by the lake. The shallow lake is where the valley feeds into, where the streams and rivers pour their water out to. Beyond the valley is the forest and the field extends past the forest, where the trees couldn't grow in the slight marshy area. The Novu will hunt for elk or deer down in the valley, and will search for moose in the forest. The lake is where the pack can go to teach their children how to hunt for fish, as the water is very shallow and heavy rocks are at the bottom to support the wolves' weight. The Novu tend to breed in the forest, towards the edge of the valley, where they can get try land and the breeze won't be so bad amongst the trees.

The Valley
The Forest
The Field
The Shallow Lake

The Karahi
Their territory is much more difficult thank the Novu's, as most of their territory consists of more marsh and water. The glacier is at the edge of a bay, where the wolves often go hunting for large birds, fish and snakes. Past the glacier is the marsh and the river, although the river feeds off to the side instead of forming into the glacier. Past the marsh, where the ground has dried up, is the field. The Karahi tend to make their tends in the side of the mountains where the field begins. They prefer to breed near the field than the marsh, so that there is less danger for the pups. The river is also abundant with fish, which is where they go to feed, and sometimes deer will be driven through the enormous field.

_____________________________________________________

♛ so, you want to know who I am? ♛

      name Immortal
"Immortal. Not liable to perish or decay; imperishable; everlasting. The word that sends all beliefs flying out the window, that causes the mere Omega to run into the abyss. It reminds all wolves of the stories of Fenris, the spawn of Loki. There have been many legends of the wolf. I was named after my storing-loving mother, Faline. She knew I'd be a good leader, and as strong-hearted as an immortal."
      nickname Immy
      Image

"I usually had small nick-names when I was a youngling - little one, caterpillar, and others I can't quite recall. The nickname Immy developed among the pups in my pack, when they found it a little difficult to put the 'mort' in Immortal. It rang in my head, and has stuck ever since. I don't mind being called Immy at all, and don't find it demeaning in the least."
      gender demoness
"If my gender isn't apparent to you, at all, then I'll have to get your eyes checked out by the healer. Clearly, judging by my size, attitude and what-not, I'm a female. I was born a female and will die a female. Got it?"
      age four years
"Some consider me old for my age, if that makes any sense at all. I've always tended to stick near the elders or adults ever since I was younger, and I suppose I've grown and matured faster because of it. I find myself being wiser than most wolves a year or two above my age, except the elders of course. I'll always deem them the best advisors around."
      species arctic wolf
"My parents were both arctic wolves, of course my mother showed more of it in her white pelt than my father did with his dark pelt. I can't help what I am, but I resemble an arctic wolf as much as one can, I believe. You know, the whole white-pelt and light-eyed thing."
      orientation straight
"Last time I checked, I categorized myself as being straight. Although I do in fact find many females beautifully colored, I have never had feelings for my own gender. No, I haven't ever been with a mate before but I'd be interested in one. A male - selfless, caring and confident. A confidence above all others, that doesn't need to be boasted or gloated about, but rather one that protects and deflects the sly comments of others. It's a lot, and I know I'm being picky, but maybe he's out there. You never know."
      pack Novu
"My parents created this pack just before the birth of myself and my siblings, and nurtured it into a beautiful and growing pack for me to take place as Alpha Female. The pack stretches across Alaska and runs closer to the Canadian borders, but mostly sits in the heart of the beautiful state."
      rank alpha female
"I've been the Alpha Female since my parents died, leaving me the title to claim. They prepared for the day that I would rule my pack and protect them from harm, and so I will do my job. Despite my small size and sometimes wavering personality, I've always been a strong ruler and won't stop until my heart stops beating. I will fight for the continuance of my rank, and will kill for it if needed"
_____________________________________________________

♛ what? you think I'm beautiful? ♛

      height twenty-eight inches above fore-head
Immortal is petite for her age and in general, standing at twenty-eight inches when measures just above her fore-head, but quite frankly her muscular build makes up for it. Despite her size, she's ruled as Alpha Female for quite some time and doesn't intend on giving up her position very easily. She'll fight to the death, and won't be intimidated by a larger brute or fae.
      weight eighty-two pounds
Despite Immortal's small size, her weight comes from the muscles built up in her limbs. She's got a slender figure with muscles that show when she moves, but are mostly hidden by her dove-white fur. Don't be fooled by her little amount of weight and small stature. She's a tough cookie. Of course, with her pregnancy she has gained quite the amount of weight, and is beginning to lose a bit of muscle.
      pelt color dove-white, gray
Immortal's pelt color comes purely from her mother, as her mother was also pure white. There are small parts of gray, from her mono-toned father's pelt, that range beneath her belly, tail, the tips of her ears, muzzle, and paws. But, she's mostly just considered pure white, especially in winter when she blends well with the blanket of snow.
      eye color icy blue
When Immortal was born, her irises were two-toned with hints of gray and blue mixed together. Her father was frightened but mother was mesmerized by the beauty. Immortal quickly lost the gray discoloration in her eyes, and so for years was considered to have merely ice blue eyes. Recently, speckles and flicks of gray have been assuming their positions back around her black pupils.
      scars fore-head, ear, muzzle, paw
Due to her way of fighting with putting her front first, Immortal has acquired a few scars on her fore-head, left ear, muzzle and her right paw. She's never had scars on anywhere else on her body, although she was been wounded and it has not scarred. The scars on her fore-head are small and the most visible, which is barely at all. Her muzzle is the next visible, and there is only one right before her wet, black nose begins. Another scar is the slight tear in her left ear, which is only truly visible if you're looking at her and focussing for quite some time. Her final scar is on her paw, which no one notices, and is from putting her paw in another wolf's jaws. It's small and is a simple tear between two toes.
      description white, petite, muscular
Immortal is a petite wolf, standing at about twenty-six inches just above her fore-head, which causes her to be all the more agile. Despite her slender and small build build, the meat on her limbs is pure muscle rather than fat or simply fur, due to the many years of training she went to in order to prepare herself to become Alpha. Her coat is pure-toned, or 'dove white', with a few hints of grey in places such as her muzzle, auditories, tail, spine, and stomach. Her irises are a hue of blue with sprays and whisks of an icy hint. Although she is smaller than most wolves, her rank goes to show that size doesn't matter too much - at least not in her position. If she fights, Immortal puts all her muscle and effort into it, and many wolves are surprised with the end result. This is why, despite the others fighting for her rank, she has stayed Alpha Female. Her small body also makes it easier for her to run faster and be hidden, which in turn makes a hunt easier.
_____________________________________________________

♛ the devil will show itself ♛

      likes hunting, fighting
Immortal was raised to be Alpha Female, meaning that she was raised to know how to survive and fight, and so she loves to fight. She absolutely loves to play-fight and won't mind getting down and dirty for a little tussle. She's no murderer, but she does enjoy a good fight now and then if it doesn't mean death. The pups are always enjoyable as well because they love tussling with her. Immy also loves to hunt, and will often lead the hunting parties to bring down the big game - elk, moose, etc.
      dislikes rivals, snow
      Image

Despite how well Immortal can blend in with the snow, she absolutely hates it and most of all - blizzards. She finds them unnecessarily horrifying and hates it when they come out of the blue. It's most likely linked with her brother's death, as he was a mere pup when the frost took him, and so her hatred runs deep in her veins. Immy also doesn't like rivals, and probably just as much as the frost / snow. It doesn't matter who the pack is - if they harm her pack-mates or threaten them, she will have every issue on the planet with them. She won't stop trying to defeat them until her pack is no longer threatened. If you're simply a bypassing pack or a harmless one, you have nothing to fear.
      habits nibbling, tilting
Immortal will often grind her teeth or find herself nibbling on her paws, leaving some of her skin raw. It's a bad habit that is slowly beginning to disappear with the help of others. Her other habit is tilting her head, whether she's looking at a wolf or watching the scenery. She'll often just let her head tilt to the side without even noticing that she's doing it. It's an odd habit, of course.
      secrets love, death
Immortal often keeps her love life a secret, and will not tell anyone. It's very hard for her to trust someone, and so she won't speak a word of it. Her most harmful secret would have to be her brother's death. She did have two other sisters, but they both left when their parents died to create or join another pack. Her brother was her best friend, and died at just a year and a half old. It breaks her heart to think about his death and her loss.
      personality stubborn, strong
Immortal is overall a very fun, interesting and slightly mysterious wolf. There isn't any time that she would ever shoot down the opportunity to play-fight with another pack-mate, mostly due to the fact that she loves attempting to win. This probably has to do with her heritage of fighting and being the Alpha. But, despite her dislike for serious fights, she isn't sure that she would ever back down to one of those either. She would never harm another pack-mate unless desperately needed, but would protect her pack-mates in time of need against the Karahi.

Her protective side and fighting skills have often lead Immy to be slightly stubborn with most wolves. She often will not allow males to fight for her, as she believes everyone should fight for themselves without help, and if they attempt to she'll respect them less. The female can be sharp-tongued and quick to respond with just about anyone, aside from the Elders and pups. Immortal knows her place in the pack, but also knows she must be caring and considerate about the wolves beneath her, and so she does her best to hold back her stubborn, hard-headed side.

Immortal doesn't just love to be playful, she does in fact like to flirt. She enjoys teases the brutes or males in her pack, but knows her limitations and will change her outlook on this when she has her pups. There are also certain wolves who she wouldn't dare flirt with - which would be the wolves that she believes need to focus more on their role in the pack than her. There isn't a single male that intimidates her, of course.

When needed, the female will always give a friend a shoulder to cry on. She gives very good advice to just about anyone, but knows her place when it is needed and when it is not as far as Elders go. In other words, she won't go against the entire will of the pack and would never go against the word of an Elder. If you need anything, Immy is one of the best pack-mates. She would never tell a soul a secret, has a good heart, is loyal, and does her best to keep good communications with everyone.

{{ Soul . Fae . Not yet born }}
xXx

---{{ name. Soul. Named for her eyes, and based off the myth that eyes are the window to the soul. Ironic, because she can keep them very well guarded from showing her true emotion.
---{{ gender. Fae {Female}. Soul is very much a female pup, or Fae if you prefer. Dame, lady, gal, lass, miss, maiden; even puella if you want to bring Latin into this. Point is, she is a she.
---{{ age. Not yet born. Once she's born, Soul will obviously be a pup. Age will grow throughout the role-play.
---{{ power. Will be revealed later. Has a power, but doesn't know it.
---{{ description. Dirty white pelt, grayish blue eyes, small build. Her pelt is an off-white color, further dirtied by the dirt and underbrush of the forest. If her pelt was ever truly clean, it would resemble a more snowy-white, but she prefers it this way. A snowy white pelt would be too obvious, making her stick out amongst a crowd- something she actively tries to avoid- and definitely to flashy for her taste. Her eyes are a light, almost icy blue with a slight gray accent around the pupil. It isn't uncommon for a pup to have blue eyes, though her eye color is slightly rare, and she will be sad to grow out of them in adulthood. It's the one thing she allows to be different about herself. She is slightly smaller then the average pup, but not by much, mainly because she lacks the muscles others gain through fighting and hunting. Her build is lean and light, making her better at agility and speed then pure strength. Her fur is thick, but short; becoming fluffier during the winter months to shield her from the cold.
---{{ personality. Observant, quiet, caring. Soul is commonly mistaken for being a shy pup, not interacting with others unless addressed first, though this is more because she doesn't bother speaking unless she has something to say; preferring instead to sit back and observe. She has a kind nature, and loves to help other creatures in any way she can, making it hard for her to hunt and fight with any real success. Despite that, she's very clever, being observant and a fast learner, she is able to pick up on things quicker than most others. When something concerns her, she can be quite stubborn and slightly manipulative, using what she notices to prove her point. Level headed and cool under pressure, she never rushes into things and prefers to think her problems through. She tends to be skeptical, only believing things when she has learned or seen them for herself. When angered or hurt, she usually reacts with sarcasm and witty insults, targeting her irritant with personal information. How badly you offended her will affect how hurtful or personal the comebacks are.
---{{ family. Immortal, Ridge. She was born to Immortal and the deceased Luka, the alpha Brute and Fae, and into a litter of six, four males and two females. Her brothers are Ridge, --- , --- , and --- ; her sister being Sukina.
---{{ rank. None yet. Once she is born, she will be ranked as a pup.
---{{ rank wanted. Healer. Soul has a love for helping wolves, and seeing how she hates to fight, becoming a healer was the obvious path to take. Everything about her fits the role perfectly.

Kuzaro is considered a medium sized wolf with a thinner build than the average wolf. His coat varies in color from a lighter grey or ochre in the warmer months to an almost translucent white during the winter, but it is always thick, hiding his musculature. This male is not powerful physically, lacking in the necessary muscular build, however he is not helpless. Instead, his body lends itself to speed and agility, making him a formidable opponent and an excellent hunter. He is often called lanky, however this is not a bad thing. His slender build and supple muscles make it easy for him to almost disappear among the tall marsh grasses of the place he calls home.

Kuzaro has a rather long muzzle that is accentuated by long strands of white fur. His teeth are kept constantly sharp by the bones he loves to gnaw on, which also help to strengthen his jaw. His ears have thin, very soft furs on the inside which aid in trapping subtle sounds such as hooves on snow. They are almost perfectly triangular in shape, but complement his long face perfectly. His eyes are mismatched in color and seem to never show emotion, a trait he has struggled to master since his birth.

Quiet and aloof to those outside of his pack, Kuzaro often appears to be shy, however that is not the truth. In reality, this male does not like the company of strange canines, often finding them to be petty and annoying. He has a deeply rooted love for violence and fights, and he will attack with the slightest provacation. Sneaky and manipulative, Kuzaro is extremely adept at making other canines trust him, only to use them to sate his lust for violence and bloodshed, a quality he does not bother to hide. He does not feel that being prone to such violence is a bad thing.

Despite this love of fighting and death, Kuzaro is incredibly loyal. In fact, with his pack he is a completely different wolf. When he is around those he knows, Kuzaro is friendly and incredibly loyal, as well as being funny and easy-going. He will happily make a fool of himself in the hopes of making a friend laugh or even smile. He is completely relaxed and friendly when he's with them, which is often confusing to the wolves that he doesn't know.

When he is hunting, Kuzar stays completely focused on what he's doing. This is part of the reason he is such an accomplished hunter. However, he was not always such a friendly little female.

{нιѕтσяу}
From his birth, Kuzaro was "top dog" of his litter. He often forced his littermates to submit to him before allowing them to eat. He even snapped and snarled at his parents, chasing them from their own meals. Once he was old enough, Kuzaro fought and killed his father, taking the role of Alpha male. To prevent inbreeding, the male quickly turned his sights to his father. Following a bloody battle, the battered alpha male ran off, leaving his son to rule his pack. Deciding that their territory of old was no longer good enough, Kuzaro led his pack far from his birth home into a new land. For years, things went well for the white male. His well-known love for violence kept his pack in line, and fights were few and far between. Prey was plentiful, and rival packs soon learned that the new alpha male was not a pushover like his father had been. Comfortable with his new life, Kuzaro became lax and began to let his guard down. One day, the light colored male came across an old human farm during his hunting. Sheep still bawed from their enclosures, believing themselves to be safe. Ever the opportunist, the alpha lead his pack into the sheep folds, slaughtering all of them as he did so. Out of the 40 the pack killed, they carried only two back to their dens.

The slaughtering of their livestock angered and frightened the human ranchers, and they went up in arms about the wolf pack. Soon, Kuzaro found himself and his pack being hunted by the humans and their hounds. Instead of fleeing, Kuzaro's love of violence drove the male to attempt to fight back. After losing most of his pack and half of his sight, the male fled his territory. He ran for miles, splashing across river after river until finally he came across an old, oddly familiar scent marking. Soon he realized that he'd found his ancestral territory, and he quickly settled in and created another pack.
