"Hello" Silverwind smiled. She wrapped her tail around her paws flicked her ears. Does he like me? She thought.

Stripetail purred and looked at his paws embarrassed,"So ummm have you thought about having a mate?" He felt his heart-beat quicken and his ears grow hot.

Ashwhisker finally finished checking his herbs to find that they were thankfully stocked abundantly. He breathed a sigh of relief, closing his eyes for a moment. Nightmares plauging (sp?) his sleeping mind had kept him awake for the past few nights, and his paws were heavy enough as it was padding about camp, let alone out searching for herbs. He was slightly short on tansy and catmint, though. . . He kept this in mind and told himself he would closely monitor the mild as his drowsiness protested inside his head and his paws ached at the very thought. He paused just inside the entrance nearly entirely concealed by heather bushes at the sound of voices just outside AirClan camp. Curiousity prickling within the wise but young mind of the gray-furred medicine cat and he crept forward carefully. He didn't hunt often, but every Clan cat knew the hunter's stalk. His ears angled toward the voices, Ashwhisker padded as close as he could without being detected by his Clanmates' perceptive senses while cats a furtive glance over his shoulder to make sure no cats were watching his stalkeresque actions. An amused smirk crept across the tom's face when he listened for a few moments, but it was tainted by wistful sorrow. He would never utter those words; the notion was forbidden to him. His paws were on the path laid out before him by StarClan, and love stronger than that for a friend was againts the warrior code.

Silverwind blushed. "Yes I have. I'm been waiting for someone special to ask me" She said, shuffling her paws. Suddenly her mind went back. My last mate....killed my kits. I couldn't protect them.. "Leave them alone!" I cried. Darkfrost was grinning....his claws unsheathed, facing Sandkit and Nightkit. "Too late. Your father killed my father, now i will kill our kits" He snapped at me. I leaped at him, but he clawed me aside. Tears poured down my face as he scraped his claws along Sandkit's throat. She sqealed in terror. "Sandkit!" Duskkit mewled. I tried to reach him with my paw, but it was too late. Darkfrost had pinned his throat the ground. "Shut up, kit!" He hissed as her clawed Duskkit's face. Both kit's fell, and my heart was broken.... I got up from the ground and leaped at Darkfrost. Before he could fight back, I slashed his throat open. I buried him, and took my kits' body back to the Clan. I said that a fox got them. We had vigil, and then I buried them...I haven't had a mate since.... She thought. Silverwind shook the horrible memory away and looked at Stripetail.

Pinefeather blinked again and the mysterious StarClan cat dissappered. She tilted her head and splashed the water. Where had the shimmering cat gone? Pinefeather shook the thought away and ran over to Stonefur. "Did I miss anything?" She asked.

Stripetail looked down at his paws feeling embarrassed,"Well....umm...We have been spending alot of time together and I really like you. I was hoping that you would want to be my mate." He looked up at her his eyes showing happyness but uncertainty. He was afraid of being rejected but hoped she felt the same he did for her.
