Dear school,

Why do you have to be so unfair? A kid comes in with full out bright blue dyed hair and she doesn't even get a talking to or questions asked. I come in with a small strand of hair dyed a color that you almost can't see only for Halloween, and I have to wash it out because it's a "Distraction", come on. Really? It's as if everyone in the classroom won't be able to study because they will be starring at my strand of hair. I'm mean I'm flattered that you think everyone will be so preoccupied with staring at me or thinking about me that they won't be able to work, but I honestly don't think that's going to happen. By this logic all overly pretty or ugly people should be taken out of the classroom because they distract people. Try focusing on educating kids, not on how I chose to dress or do my hair. I'm not exposing anything, and I follow all the dress codes when other girls run around in short skirts that can't really be called clothing. People are doing bad stuff right under your noses and you chose to nit pick about my hair.
