Yuri nodded and corrected his posture. Focusing more intently, he began to creep forward, light on his feet. It wasn't as good as the seasoned Jakei's, but it was probably good enough. "How's this?" Yuri asked.

Shiko shook her head as the apprentice got frustrated. "Wisp, you'll shred your patient if you take stitches out like that. You need to do this carefully, or else your patient will never heal." She placed another large leaf in front of Wisp. "Try again." she demanded, "Sew it up, then pull the stitches out, carefully."

Ryuu nodded approvingly, before throwing Copper into the air with his powerful back legs, rolling to the side and pushing himself to his feet to let Copper fall where he had once been. "Next, we're probably going to strengthen you." he said, shaking dust from his fur.

[Sacred Sin]

Jupiter smiled at Bluebell. "I will leave you to rest then." She ducked out and walked slowly across camp, hoping that the patrols would return soon.

Jakei's smiled approvingly. "Much, much better. Still needs a little practice, but that only comes from experience. Next, we need to work on your hunting crouch for rabbits. Rabbits are much trickier; not only can they smell you much better than the mouse, but they can hear you as well. What you need to do is approach the rabbit extremely cautiously, preferably from a downwind position so it can't smell you very well. Then you must stalk forward like so." He bent down and slipped into a crouch different from that of the mouse. His body was very close to the ground, almost dragging, yet he didn't make a sound. After a bit, he pulled up. "When you are in range, spring forward and try to land on the rabbit so it doesn't shoot away. Chasing down one is much harder than necessary if you can take it by surprise."

Heron stood back up, straight and sighed and rolled his eyes at Soul's silliness. If he's going to be ridiculous, I'm leaving. "Alright, alright." He started, and the questions rolled off his tongue rapidly, "What's up with Shiko? Do you and her have a thing, Soul? What about everyone else? Any love connections I should know about so I can stay as far away as possible?" He gagged. "Alright, on to the better stuff. What do you guys do for fun around here? What are the biggest threats that face the pack? How long have you all been together? Who's Kinari? And Zargon? I've never heard of them." He finished with a big breath. "Sorry for the third degree."

"Fine." Wisp said grumpily. She gritted her teeth and as slowly and carefully as she possibly could, she re threaded the needle, and sewed the messy loops. Then, even slower than before and trying to keep her paws as steady as possible, Wisp took the vine out the leaf, one painstaking look at a time. The whole process took way too long, and she expected Shiko to be asleep or gone when she looked up.

Leaf Fall gave Soul a sideways glance and proceeded to explain who Zargon ad Kinari were. "Zargon is the evil spirit, controller of demons, and basically the incarnation of pure evil. He has sworn that he will destroy this forest and its spirit, the beautiful Kinari, whom you saw the other night. It is our mission, as the foxes of this leash, to find the other keys to piece together Kinari's song and restore peace to this forest. Be warned though, Zargon is a force to be reckoned with." Leaf Fall paused for a moment, his face grim and eyes very serious. "As for what we do for "fun" around here, we have our gatherings, time to spend with friends, but it is not as though we don't have things to do. The apprentices train with their mentors, hunters go out to hunt, warriors train and keep their battle skills acute and ready at any moment. We care for the mothers in the nursery and their newborn cubs. We are all a family, though maybe not through bloodline, but through spirit."

"Ya I won't eat anymore" Jingle replied as she stretched her silver body onto the warm grass. Then she asked the obvious question "Where are Raven and Flare??"

Phantom chucked when she was eating, and stopped when she said something about Raven and Flare. "Hey..really..yeah..where are they?" He asked, not only to those around him but himself.

His eyes still closed, Apollo flicked his tail to where Flare and Raven wandered off to. "They went over there somewhere, I think."

"Better." Shiko nodded, "Though, you seem flustered, so you may take a break, we may go out to collect herbs later, depending on how long we decide to rest." Shiko began to organize the den, sweeping up the remains of ripped up herbs with her bushy tails.

Yuri nodded, noticing the crouch was similar to the mouse one. "Hmm..." he murmured, crouching down. His belly fur brushed the ground as he crept forward in this new crouch. His ears were pricked forward intently as he tried to do the crouch as perfect as possible.

[Calypso Sky]

"I don't know if we can be in the same den..." Raven trailed off, "I think we're going to have to ask Soul. Anyways! Cathing birds are easy once you get the hang of it. They usually don't have good hearing, so you don't have to worry about being stealthy. Creep up as close as you can to them, and then leap forward and upwards, so that you have a chance of catching them if they try to fly off. There's a robin up ahead, see what you can do with it."

Copper sat stunned for a moment. How did Ryuu leave like that? he wondered. Sitting up, he faced his mentor and responded to what he said, "How am I going to do that?"

Soul had been about to remark on Heron's childness when Leaf Fall gave him a glance and proceeded to talk. Soul was amazed at how well his SIC explained everything, and he nodded approvingly when he finished, glad to have chosen such a serious, dedicated hunter to be his second in command. Turning, he faced Heron and addressed the first part of what the newcomer had asked. "Shiko and I do not have a 'thing,'" he said dryly, "There are more relationships than just romantic ones, you know. Anyways, both Shiko and Wisp aren't allowed to have mates because they're alchemists, and have more pressing things to worry about. As for romances, there hasn't been much going on in that department because as Leaf Fall said, the foxes are all busy working to fight Zargon, and it's hard to make the time for a mate and cubs when you're going against pure evil. We're very lucky to have Kinari with us. Our leash- packs are for wolves you know- has been together since the beginning of time in this forest. If you think of anything else to ask, let us know." And he began to dig a small hole to put the mouse and rabbit in.

"Ya good idea we'll ask Soul." Then he quietly listened as she explained. "Got it. I'll try!!" Flare slowly stalked forward bending his back legs so he would have a good spring. Then he leaped as high as he could. Flare accidentally hit his nose on the branch but he did bite of part of the birds wing and it tumbled to the ground. Landing with a thump Flare rubbed his nose with his paw and trotted over to the bird quickly finsihing it off. Then he picked it up and walked over to Raven. Dropping the bird in front of her he nuzzled her muzzle and licked her nose " I hit my nose but I got it!!" Flare said cheerfully

"Well if they went that way then i'm going to find them." Jingle lifted herself up and trotted over to a tree,hiding behind it's trunk she spyed on them. Jingle was a very nosey fox and she saw Flare leap and the whole antics with the bird. Then Jingle gasped as Flare licked and nuzzled her. 'That must be it!!' Jingle thought in her head 'There in love!!!"
