Kai stepped into the shallow water then shook his mane and stared at the girl. The cat ears did not really shock him to much after seeing a person who could turn into a rat and a girl who can control fire. He still did continue to watch her carefully as she still may pull out that dagger again and try to attack.

Mitz eyed the horse warily but settled down as it did not appear to be hostile towards her. She took her hand away from her sheathed dagger and let her tail out as well for it was getting cramped. She didn't feel completely relaxed as she looked closer at it and noticed seaweed running through it's mane.
"A kelpie?" She whispered to herself, tail flicking with curiosity.

Kai laid down in the shallow water, He kept his guard up just in case... As he never knew with these human type creatures. If she did try to attack he would most likely just flee back into his pond as he really was not good and never has enjoyed fighting.

Mitz sighed and sat down several feet from the waters edge, studying the odd horse. Mitz put a finger in the water to test it, and although it was probably not that cold it felt like ice water to her. Mitz withdrew her finger and lit a flame on the tip of it to dry off the water, a very small one as she was still very much afraid of flames. Mitz sighed and lay down on her back, staring at the weird horse.
"You live in there or do you just like water?" She asked the horse, not expecting an answer from the animal.

Kai flicked his ears before turning into his human form. "I live here." Kai said still sitting within the shallow muddy water of the pond.

Mitz froze then scrambled away from the water, baring her teeth. Her tail flicked and a small plume of fire sat on it's tip. He's a mutant? Mitz calmed down a little and hit her forehead with her palm. Duh! What sort of horse sits in the water? I'm an idiot.
"Holy...! Don't scare me like that!" She stated, indignant. "Who are you, anyway?" She asked, hand poised over her sheathed dagger, eyeing the boy warily.

"My names Kai... Im a Kelpie, Don't worry i won't eat you. You human like creatures fight back to much and im not to good at fighting." Kai said staring at her and then looked down at her hand that was over her dagger now.

Mitz snorted and took her hand away from her dagger. The flame on the tip of her tail went out and she sat down next to the water again, tail waving lazily through the air.
"Okay, so you're not going to hurt me. But what are you? A mutant?" She asked, staring at the boy.

"I just said i was a Kelpie... In other words im a horse who lives in water, Eats meat and is able to shapeshift into the form of a human. If thats what you call a mutant then i guess yes." Kai said looking a bit annoyed.

"Oh, sorry.." Mitz said, rubbing the back of her head with her hand. "I'm a bit forgetful." She smiled. Mitz looked around at the forest and the pond and then the boy sitting in the pond.
"Do you have any friends out here?" She asked, curious.
