WaterClan
Otterpaw ran, panting as her legs flashed. Ahead the lake bobbed up and down from her view, but it was a little bit away. Sighing inside her head, as if mentally, she ran fast, making sure she kept the lake in her sight. Frowning, Otterpaw slowed slightly, but then sped up as she saw Dawnsinger, making her way slowly towards the lake. Was she still racing? Shaking her head, mentally again, she turned and kept on going, seeing the lake getting closer in her view. As she ran, the apprentice tried to focus on her breathing, her steady pace of running, and how her paws were being placed as she went over every root, hill, and downhill. She tried to distract herself from everything else, including the fact that Dawnsinger had just been going at a very slow speed down to the lake, when a few minutes ago she had been bolting towards the lake like lightning. What if she had injured herself? What if something was the matter? What if-
Stay focused Otterpaw. she reminded herself, noting that her mental exercise wouldn't work if she focused on something else. Narrowing her eyes and staring straight ahead, Otterpaw sped up slightly, going at a faster pace, heading towards the lake at top speed.
Stonefur sighed, fighting his impatience. "But where
is Pinefeather? We have to get going, and she can eat some of the rabbit if she didn't catch anything." he said, wondering if the she-cat had gotten lost. But that wouldn't really happen to her. She seemed independent enough. Stonefur glanced over at Rainstar, wondering if she knew where the medicine cat had gone. He eventually looked away, knowing that Rainstar most likely didn't know. Frowning, Stonefur tried to divert his thoughts on wondering where Pinefeather was, and tried to focus on his younger sister Otterpaw instead. They must have gotten to the lake by now, and she may even be splashing in the shallows with her friends, practicing her water skills.
Otterpaw had always seemed open to trying new things. She always seemed to want to know what was happening, and never missed anything fun.
That was why she must be down at the lake. Looking down at his paws, Stonefur sighed, suddenly finding that he wished that Otterpaw was here with them at this moment. She would most likely be able to cheer them all up, and then also find Pinefeather with them.
DarkClan
Willowshine kept on eating the rest of her squirrel, but still keeping a weather eye on Hopeflight who seemed to be taking the rabbit over to Icestar's den. Why would she want to give the treacherous leader of DarkClan her hard-caught prey? Icestar had always come to get stuff from the fresh kill pile, and only those who she ordered were to bring her her food. There was also the fact that those she ordered, were those who she had full control over. Hopeflight was definitely not one of those cats.
Sighing, Willowshine started to finish her prey when she noticed Shadowfang over by herself, grinning in a way that set the young female cat's teeth on edge. What was she grinning about? It must have been something about killing other innocent cats or something like that. Shaking her head to herself, Willowshine turned back to her food, finishing it completely and standing up, stretching. As she sat there, watching the other cats, she reflected on the fact that they were going to SunClan to attack after they ate.
The warrior frowned, imagining the loss and the blood that would be spilled.
I wish I could disappear. I wish that I could go back to WaterClan and be with my true clan mates. I don't want to attack just for the pleasure of Icestar. Willowshine kept on thinking this, knowing that it wouldn't come true though. She hoped that the SunClan cats would have extra sentries and guards, and somehow be ready and know that they were coming. Maybe their medicine cat had a prophecy! Maybe they
would know, and they wouldn't have to give that much of a fight before Icestar called a retreat. Shaking her head, Willowshine looked down at her paws, wishing that all these thoughts had never ocurred in the first place. Make it, that all these thoughts had never even happened, because Icestar had never given the order. Closing her eyes, Willowshine took a deep breath and waited for Icestar to tell them that they were going to SunClan. Cat's lives would be lost, blood will be spilled, bodies splayed on the battlefield, motionless, all cats from both sides, and for what?
It doesn't have to be like this.IceClan
Leopardfur felt her heart soar as she saw the camp in the distance, the familiar bulk of the ice caves made her wish that she were there. She turned to Nightfall, not able to resist a little more encouragement for the injured warrior. "We're almost there." she pointed out. "I bet that Frostwhisker will be already waiting for us." she said out loud, wondering if the medicine cat
was going to be there with herbs ready and all. Looking around, Leopardfur felt a sort of longing. She wished that Nightfall hadn't been injured. She wished that their clan's territory was free from any evil animals such as white wolves, birds that could pick off kits, and the occasional fox. If that happened, then most of the cats in IceClan wouldn't have wounds, unless they were in a battle or something.
Leopardfur sighed, shaking her head as she closed her eyes momentarily.
If wishes were prey, then we'd be able to feed the whole clan for seasons. She remarked dryly in her mind, looking up again as she saw that the IceClan camp was closer, and more in her view. Tilting her head, Leopardfur wished that she could tele-port them to camp, and not have to walk any more. Glancing at Nightfall, Leopardfur hoped inside that he wasn't trying to seem fine and okay, just to not make her worry. The she-cat didn't like the thought that Nightfall may be injuring himself, just to make her feel that he was fine. She was about to blurt out something about this, but then stopped herself, clamping her jaws firmly together. It felt as if she had asked enough about Nightfall's injuries and it may be getting him a little annoyed, so she kept quiet, ready to wait until they got back to camp to ask any more questions, or say anything else.
