Kachina is a quiet, almost skittish female. She has suffered through much heartache and has since withdrawn into herself. Many are drawn to her by the way she carries herself with natural grace, yet Kachina instinctively draws away from them - fearful of being hurt once again. She yearns for someone - be it a vindex or a human - to help her regain the courage and compassion she once had, but is hesitant to let another get truly close to her.

Likes:
Kachina loves flowers, listening to nature, and watching others interact (although not aggressively).

Dislikes:
Kachina fears dominant individuals, loud noises, sudden movements, being unable to change her skittish nature.

I chose this song because I felt like this Vindex's beauty hid something beneath the surface - such as going through some traumatic experience with someone. I've always loved this song and I just feel like I could really portray this hurt she's received well - without making it seem like she's antisocial/doesn't speak.

Story blurb:
Curling her thickly furred tail around her body, Kachina rested her head on the bushy appendage. Light violet eyes winked in the darkness as she blinked out at the night. A shaky breath puffed through her nose before her eyelids slid shut. Even with her eyes closed, the female could still 'see' the purple lights that radiated from her tail and from the tips of her "antennae." Slowing her breathing came naturally as her body remembered how dreaming saved her - before she escaped; but her brain raced and her ears twitched - still believing that she wasn't safe, that she never would truly be so.

Still, despite her fear, her exhausted body finally managed to slide into a black slumber. At first it was peaceful as she slid into deeper sleep, a dreamless bubble of rest and peace. But then the pictures slid from long-ago sealed memories, focusing behind her eyelids in clear snapshots. A snarling maw, teeth flashing in the fading light. Bright red streaked over the emerald grass. Even though she knew it was but a dream, Kachina cried out in terror - her muscles tensing instinctively in preparation for each strike. Through the night her wails echoed in the valley in which she sheltered, the violet female unable to awaken from her terrors as her exhausted body clung to sleep.

Sun warming her multi-hued coat, Kachina slid noiselessly through the undergrowth. Her ears twitched, tracking the birdsong in the canopy above as she wandered aimlessly about. As soon as the birds fell silent, she'd know to seek shelter, but for now she felt at peace - or as much as she could be - as they twittered about. Tail slightly curled behind her and swaying as she walked, the lithe female carried herself with a natural grace - fitting for her name. Humming softly, Kachina let the last of her night-time terrors slip away from her conscious thoughts as the bright day shone around her.

Personality: I'd say that Janet is very crazy. She's fun to be around but doesn't listen to anyone. She's a rebel, and doesn't like to stay put. She's always ripping stuff open and going underthings due to being very curious. Why? I'm not sure but she wasn't to young when I found her. But when I did we didn't connect, she was loud and wild. While I was calm and collected. I didn't let her into my house for the longest time, since I made her live in barn. She didn't get along with all the animals just my horse and cat. She always fought with my dog, Andrew over the squeaky toy. But one days was walking though the woods when a bear came. Hearing me scream Janet and Andrew raced to my side and attacked the bear. Being the biggest canines I had the bear ran off never to be seen again. Ever since then Janet, Andrew and I have been the best of friends.

I chose this song because I was listening to it when I stumbled across this adoptable. It seemed to suit her very well so I began to fill out the forum. The more I worked on it the more and more excited I got. And the more I realized the name, Janet fit her Since I did this backwords.
